I was a teen in Houston during the rise of the Eleveator, total awareness. When I was in Austin in the 70's Roky came in to a restaurant I worked at (He knew the waitor) He had a small tape player with him, He wanted to know what we thought of his new songs. These were rough recording of songs he was writing at the time. Man was he out there!
