You focus way too much on trying to get every note exactly as the recording.

What you should focus on instead is trying to get some emotion into your playing, so that it'll sound interesting when you play it.

Right now it just sounds like you're playing for the sake of playing.

Seriously, I can't stress how much better you'd sound if you added a bit of vibrato here and there, and added your own little improv in some sections.

You'd make the cover your own, while making it enjoyable to listen.

hey man, I love ur cover, but when i saw matt live, he did intro.. "the high bend" on the same string as the first bends, so on the g string its (14 14, 16, 13 13, 16) and on the A string its ( 12, 12, 14, 11, 11, 13)

i think its more practical this way, it works for me though

but THANk god smn covered the final solo when he sings :d

I can tell you what I used mate?

I have a AX3000G pedal board by Korg.

But basically I used distortion and either analog delay or echo to get the second note.

So you hit one note and the delay does the next.
