  • Great axes.. and great playing...

  • Is the neck chunky on this guitar? I heard that the necks on the Kramer pacer vintage is a bit chunky, is it the same on these?

  • @AtomicPunk1995 The vintage ones are a little chunky, but these import ones are pretty slim. Many stores carry them, so you should have a chance to try one before buying it. My vintage Kramer was a very wide with a flat back. This one is much more narrow with a rounded back.

  • @PixxyLixxx Ok, thank you! Great playing by the way! Gotta love Steel Panther

  • To bad about your PATS this superbowl right? lol

  • Wow! I'm liking this review man! Steel panther? wowwww! I bought their "Balls Out" album... Best album I've listened to in a while! I also did a review by the way on the Kramer Pacer Classic - but yeah Good review!

  • That guitar is Freaking killer!!! ur really messing with me cuz i really want a Kramer and that things rips!!!!!

  • does the trem go in?like pull it up??

  • I have the same guitar. It is bitchin' in every way.

  • Stays the Tremolo in tune like a real Floyd rose ?

  • A steal on some Steel (Panther) signatures. How cool. What a cool story. Sounds like you need to bring your daughter with you to more guitar stores. Congrats!

    Jon

  • I've heard these kramers are pretty kickass guitars. sounds about right.

  • i am so... fucking... jealous....seriously :'( but good for you ^^

  • c'mon dude admit it, you're the guy they based Peter Griffin on!! hahaah, just kidding. nice guitar and awesome playing. I'm looking at getting one of these from musician's friend but you were very lucky to get the chance to play one before bringin it home. ROCK ON!!

  • Happy new year bro, good video as always.

  • awesome like always!!... HIGH QUALITY VIDEOS... im your big fan!! xD

  • Dude! I got the same guitar for Christmas, except not signed by SP, bummer. Unbelievable find on your part. Do some lessons for Balls Out, you know you want to!!!!

  • @murphy060681 Sweet!! Congrats on the new axe! Nice, huh?! Yeah, Balls Out is a friggin' masterpiece! I've had it in heavy rotation on the iPhone since its release. I'll have to see what I can figure out. But I know which guitar I'm going to use....

  • Merry Christmas PixxyLixx, was feeling a little Christmas blues this year and your vids and great playing help chase the blues away !!!

  • @danngoat HA! Glad I could help! Have a Merry Christmas!!

  • kick asssss!!! as always pixxy boy! thanks for your fab videos.

Happy xmas and happy new year!

  • @aronchas Thanks man!! Same to you!

  • I`m defenetly getting one, I`ve done some research and gitarist all over the place has good things to say about these guitars! + im a sucker for good youtube reviews :) Stop making these reviews pixx! i keep wanting to buy guitars!! I`m blaming you when my wife finds out I`ve ordered yet another! :))) thanx for th2 by the way.. its a great software.

  • @889Tarzan HA! I say the same thing to my bud Bobbie...he's got me wanting a Charvel San Dimas now! I love this Kramer. The action is super low and the feel is really nice. And they are CHEAP, like $379 new. I'm loving TH2 over here! Every time I think I have checked it all out, I find a new sound that I absolutely love.

  • An ibanez 350DX and somehow this thing just shredded perfectly with me I picked it up. I'm building quite a little stable. Lol. Keep on Rockin Steve, Merry Christmas!

  • @drinkspecials Thanks, Mike! Same to you and yours. I love finding guitars that just click. I really dug this one from the start. I should be good for a while....though I keep saying that and I keep getting more guitars! Hehehe....

  • My first 'real' guitar was a Kramer Stryker. I put in a Seymour Duncan Invader pickup. I sold it as I upgraded, only started collecting in last 5 years. Guitars are precious and I don't sell any ones I connect with. A few months ago I was in my local music store and sat down to play an Ibanez

  • Great video as always. Do you think this guitar is worth buying?

  • @flyleader I do. They run about $380 new and they sound and feel damn nice. Of course, they are made in Indonesia now, so that keeps the price down. But the quality is surprisingly good, especially considering the retail price. The trem is a Licensed by Floyd Rose copy that reminds me of the Floyd Rose II. That's probably the weakest part of the axe. Stays in tune, though, so that's all that matters.

  • GREAT STUFF as always!!!!!!!.....those satin finish necks are really easy too play....yeah i like them myself.....

  • @TheXXXDB Thanks Xavier! Yeah, I forgot how much I like the unfinished necks. The only downside is that they get dirty pretty quickly and are hard to clean. Other than that, I love 'em!

  • What amp do you use ????????? great sound

  • @SzalonyRodriguez I'm using amp modeling software called "TH2" by Overloud. For this rig I'm using the George Lynch head with the UltraXL model, the George Lynch 4x12 cabinet and a simple room reverb. Attempts to use an actual amp with mikes have always sounded worse, so I stick with the software ones, running my guitar through my computer and directly into the camera.

  • Oh you're an awesome player by the way!

  • @iTheGuitarist Thanks so much! Very much appreciated!!

  • Damnit I need TH2 software.

  • @iTheGuitarist I drew the same conclusion just about one year ago. In fact, I think it was one year ago this week. While GR5 is better than GR4, I still think TH2 is overall better sounding. I bought mine on sale last year and I think they're running the same sale again through the 24th.

  • i wanna see the bark at the moon vid to fasho.

  • @dylan134 Probably next week, if I had to guess. And I'll probably use the same patch as this one....I really love this UltraXL model.

  • Nice one Steve, hey you going to get another ChIbenez?

  • @HiOctane62 Thanks Shawn!! No, probably no Chinese anything for a while. I have no time to play the ones I have!! And I've been on a bit of a tear for the last few months and need to tone it down....well, at least a little. Bobby wants to sell me the red Charvel San Dimas for a decent price. I think that is going to be my next one.

  • that was my first guitar, can i have it back, lol, rock on brother

  • @dooshbayg No way! lol I think my original '84 Pacer was my fourth guitar, but it had a rosewood neck to start and I changed it for a maple Kramer neck a few years later. I loved that guitar!

  • Thanx for reply dude.. and cool man that's a nice guitar

  • @TheABLTZ Thanks dude!

  • hey its even red like santa ;)

  • @sajo1111111 Hey, that's what I said when I was buying it! That's all I needed to seal the deal!! LOL!!!

  • Where are they made?

  • @TheABLTZ It wasn't marked, but the other one I looked at said Indonesia. If I had to guess, I'd say it's made by Cort or Samick.

  • Envying the shit out of you right now

  • @joscarmoren HA!! Thanks bro!! I'm living just like Tiger Woods...HA!!

  • had to come back to see the best part of this video, but I won't give it away here

    have a great Christmas

  • @leokimvideo HA!! Oh, you f'n TEASE!!! LOL!! Thanks again, Leo!! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!

  • A Great Christmas gift,Merry Christmas.

  • @tamirke74 Thanks!! Merry Christmas to you, too!!

  • Your guitar, tones, playing and TH2 kick major ass, but your Pats sweatshirt steals the show! Go Pats. Great playing and video. Love the Kramer! Merry Christmas!

  • @hayesch1 YES!!! GO PATS!! As of this writing, we are all alone a-top the AFC. With a little luck, we'll get a first round bye and home field advantage. My Bs are too pretty damn good, too!! Thanks for the kind words on the guitar and playing. Merry Christmas to you, and GO PATS!!

  • Hey Steve Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you too, another awesome demonstration of talent and tone.I look forward to a Bark At The Moon cover that would be the bomb!!!

  • @MCguit88 Thanks Mike, same to you!! Thanks so much for the kind words about my video. I'd love to do a cover of Bark At The Moon, but I'll have to work on that solo for a while. Those last few measures are scary!! Rock on, bro!! Looking forward to your next Couch Production!!

  • HAPPY CHRISTMAS GUYS :D

  • @MrPurpleguitar Same to you!! \m/

  • Merry Christmas Bro... you definately scored on that Pacer, especially it being signed by Steel Panther!! Congrats... the guitar also looks like it was never played, it sounds great too. are those stock pickups in there? what was Kramer using at the time in that line? again, great score dude, thats a keeper. btw: I also loved the Silent Night Jam. Peace...

  • @stratomaster516 Thanks, bro! Merry Christmas to you, too. I know, a Pacer with Steel Panther signatures....don't I kind of HAVE to buy that?!? HA!! Those are the stock pickups and this is the reissue, not the original Pacer (which is why it's in such good shape). I'll bet some dude won it in a contest and wanted to turn it into cash. I think the band has a deal with Kramer, so that would make sense. Glad you dug the jam. I was worried I was going to forget even more than I did..HA!

  • bravo!

  • Always Informative! Merry Christmas! Those tones kick ass!

  • @KISS1975 Thanks Don!! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!

  • TOTAL ROCK Guitar, and how could you lose when it's signed by Steel Panter \m/ \m/

  • @jolrug1 Exactly. Steel Panther FTW!! \m/

  • Dude could you help me out with my bending? Mine don't sound as clean as yours do.

  • @Tytokman Bending takes a lot of practice because it goes so easily out of tune. The best way to practice bends is to hit a note, then try to bend up to the same note from two frets down. Try to match the pitch (it's hard!!). Over time, though, it gets a lot easier and you get "muscle memory", where your brain goes on autopilot for certain tasks (like bending). The other way is to turn on a tuner and try to bend to a specific note and get it right in tune. Again, it's hard, but gets easier.

  • the tuber with the best starts to his videos, it's a lesson for all!

  • @leokimvideo Thanks Leo!! You're doing something that's connecting with people on your channel. If I had 10% of your subscribers....I'd have double my current number!!

  • Dude that wAt first wammy solo sounded so EVH man sweet!!!!!

  • @kissarmyforever100 That whole guitar reminds me of EVH!! That's the look I remember from the early 80s when Ed went to Kramer, though I think he ever used that headstock shape. He went right to the "hockey stick" style.

  • @PixxyLixxx yeah its deffinatly got the EVH vibe goin on

  • Loving the frequency of new videos dude! Thanks so much for putting them up.

  • @sambenenge Thanks bro!! I'm trying to step it up a bit when I can. Glad you're liking the new vids!!

  • H....OL.....Y mother of god 4:33-4:55 omg just all of that was makeing my jaw drop

  • @TREnt865 That's a lick that Paul Gilbert said was influenced by Shawn Lane. It's a 5-fret stretch for most of the riff, which is a left-hand killer. I think it's in one of the early Paul Gilbert videos, from like 1990 or 1991. Over 20 years and I STILL don't have it down!! HA!!

  • Haha you had one of these sitting around in the background in your San Dimas video

  • @roysensei I may have...I'll have to look at the video again. We had a lot of guitars out that day ;) I definitely recall an ESP being out. I shot a video with the ESP, but I wasn't too thrilled about my playing in it, so I'll have to shoot that one again.

  • no hd! ;-(

  • @outtacastatv I know.....I was super bummed when I saw the file size. I knew immediately what had happened.....frickin' buttons!!

  • that is a bad ass looking guitar, dig the playing, brb looking up steel panther.

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana Thanks, bro!! I think you'll like Steel Panther. They're basically a comedy act with metal chops. Kind of an R-rated version of Spinal Tap. But their chops cannot be denied. They are definitely good at what they do.
