I was just walking around town when I saw a television crew setting up at a plaza. They mentioned that they were traveling around China to document different minority groups and that they were about to film a bunch of Wa women. I stuck around and captured their performance.
It's hard to say whether or not this was traditional because I've never asked the ladies nor know much about their culture. It could be a dance that they gave to tourists or for promotional events - I couldn't really tell. It could also be a modern take on their traditional folksy dance. Either way, it was interesting.
