  • ahahahahaha probably 20mA but NOT 700mW at all

  • 12000V x 0,7A = 8400W

    It says 700mA at the input.

  • That arc doesn't look like 700mA. It looks closer to 20-30mA. Check your transformer. I think you may have read the ratings incorrectly.

  • If that is outputting 8.4 kW with only 120W in, you may have just solved the world's energy crisis.

  • Um... If that was 700mA, your wires would be pretty toasty.... Doesnt look like it.

  • That arc definitely doesn't look like it's carrying 700mA and I see "30mA" on the transformer next to the 12kVrms, which probably indicates it outputs 30mA.

  • A couple of questions.

    How long were those arcs?

    what model of transformer is it?

    and does that transformer have open circuit protection?
