The whole show was simply astonishing, but I think this song is my most favorite part of the show. And you have some damn good footage here!!! Is it up on Dime or Yeeshkul???
Thanks very much @anotherbri - I love this part, too. Most amazing anti-war/oppression/ignorance multimedia, no? And those background vox like Tibetan chant. Haunting still.
Don't know Dime or Yeeshkul. Will I find via Google?
@badbadbadjag >>>Haunting yes. Very political, yes....and in a very good way. Shows how screwed up our world governments really are. The scene where they shoot people from a helicopter ("light 'em up") is actually part of a video from Wikileaks. It's available on the internet.
Did you film the whole show?? I would love a copy of it, especially if it all looks and sounds as good as this.
@anotherbri Thanks again. I didn't film the entire show, just bits and pieces. These two came out best, I think. Hey, since you like these, I'm wondering if you might be interested in this other project I'm involved with: badbadbad(dot)net - It's a "transmedia novel," coming May 20th. There's a film part that I'm currently editing. I plan to take the whole lit-audio-video show on the road this summer. If you like, I'll keep you in the loop. Lemme know. Thanks again.
I was there...I feel like it was all a blurr, I was so mesmorized. Didn't want it to end.....I get emotional thinking about it..it was over way too fast. Roger is pure genius.
It was powerful, and yeah, time disappeared. I tried to wrap my head around it the next day w/ this piece in SFWeekly. (Apparently, I can't link it here, but if you want to check it out, Google: SFWeekly Rogers Waters Garcia) I feel like the experience is still churning inside of me.
this song was fuckin epic when i saw it in Anaheim
