What a fitting song for our times. I live in England but its hard not to be affected by American politics, George Bush is packing his bags right now, but this guy is not down and out. George Bush has too many interests in global companies, he made a lot of friends in high places and lined a all more peoples pockets. He will influence a great many things for many years to come. All the best luck to Barack Obama, hell need it to sort out the mess left by the Bush administration.

I feel good about it too Archie. alot of people smiling and believing they have a future for the first time. I was disappointed in Obama's rhetoric concerning Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran towards the end. almost lost my vote, but I followed through after supporting him for 18 months and voted for him as well. hope McCain has a nice retirement or maybe put him on a finance reform task force committee. that needs to get done too. should be law, no compaigns start more than 6 months ahead.

Yeah Danny, I don't like Obama's stand on the war, either, and I'm not gonna hesitate to protest against him on that issue, but for today, I think this is an important and inspiring turning point in our history.

Archie I am so glad you didn't blow off voting! You're so right, the Republican party had to go. We all know it's going to take a lot more than four years, realistically, to repair, "the shambles of a country" left behind by the BUSH administration. But for now, let's just celebrate the fact that we have raised the stardard! We have an intelligent leader for a change! That fact in itself, is enough for me at this moment.
