Thanks Dan. I was kinda wingin' it there, and blew a couple of the changes, but hopefully no one will notice... I don't know if the O Man will save us, but it'll be nice to have a president that isn't trying to kill us....
Great interpretation of a great classic song, written by a great artist so soulful performed for this historical point of time. I wish your new president well and drink a beer for Obama. Cheers Barack Cheers Lost 5*****
there's a beauty in having the opportuniny to be heard as individuals. for granted too often is taken that right. knowing what we have is the importance to be recognised. i love to voices speaking out in ANY direction like you've done here. that's what freedom is. thanks my friend & once again an awesome cover!
Come On Lost!! This is Just an Excuse to have another Beer!!!LOL!!! Nah! You dont need any Excuses!!..Im With You On This one for Too Many Reasons to List here!!!!Take Care My Friend...Nice Cover ..Great Choice Too!!!!
Yeah man, something BIG just happened. It's American history, man. Like watching the moon landings and shit that used to happen. The rest of the world depends on us in so many ways, and we have been letting them down. Not to mention scaring the shit out of everybody...
Right on Lost! I'll have one of those beers with you : ) I'm excited for your Country and the world right now..Lets end War..Oh and what a great job on The times they are a changing *****
What a fitting song for our times. I live in England but its hard not to be affected by American politics, George Bush is packing his bags right now, but this guy is not down and out. George Bush has too many interests in global companies, he made a lot of friends in high places and lined a all more peoples pockets. He will influence a great many things for many years to come. All the best luck to Barack Obama, hell need it to sort out the mess left by the Bush administration.
I feel good about it too Archie. alot of people smiling and believing they have a future for the first time. I was disappointed in Obama's rhetoric concerning Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran towards the end. almost lost my vote, but I followed through after supporting him for 18 months and voted for him as well. hope McCain has a nice retirement or maybe put him on a finance reform task force committee. that needs to get done too. should be law, no compaigns start more than 6 months ahead.
Yeah Danny, I don't like Obama's stand on the war, either, and I'm not gonna hesitate to protest against him on that issue, but for today, I think this is an important and inspiring turning point in our history.
excellant rendition!! really great job i admire your harmonica skills, awesome job, good thing for obama i guess i was goin to canada if mcsame won ha.
A very appropriate song. You were lucky to have the opportunity to vote and be a part of this great change. We in the rest of the world would have loved to vote for Obama. Let's hope he is given the chance to fulfill his promises. Now that Bush has gone a few of my songs have suddenly lost their relevance - but it's worth it!
I'll join you in a beer for Obama here in Hong Kong.
Archie I am so glad you didn't blow off voting! You're so right, the Republican party had to go. We all know it's going to take a lot more than four years, realistically, to repair, "the shambles of a country" left behind by the BUSH administration. But for now, let's just celebrate the fact that we have raised the stardard! We have an intelligent leader for a change! That fact in itself, is enough for me at this moment. I trust he WILL help mend this country. I will do anything to help him too.
He's FOR REAL. He's articulate, empathetic, intelligent, authentic. He's a centrist. Being mixed blood, I think he represents most of the American people. He was raised by the right kind of people. People with "heart". We finally have a, "Real Live Family" and they even have a puppy in the White House! I really love him. I read his books and I tell you, he IS The One. *Exhales and gets more goose bumps* lol Smile! Great song btw!
Thanks Kim! I think it'll take twenty years to repair the damage the republicans have done, and we'll have to continue fighting them every inch of the way...
I almost posted this song last night too! I am very hopeful that things will change. I agree, the republicans had to go. I was the 9th person to vote in our township. And this is the first time ever I voted a straight party ticket. It was a very inspiring day. Have a great day!!
Thanks. I tried to do it on election night but I drank too much beer... I don't always vote, but when I do I vote straight Democrat. Keeps things simple...
Very good!
Germany needs a Obama too!
You have Obama! America, the land of Johnny Cash and Bob Hope!
We have Angela Merkel!!! And no Hope and no Cash!
Peace Tom

I was actually crying, because now we can tell the world that we (the citizens of the united states) are back in control of OUR OWN Government.
Thanks man.

Obama's got one hell of a mess that the criminals have left behind. It's not going to be easy, but WE CAN do it together.
