Richie RAMONE is a much faster drummer than marky. Period. Plus, Richie has more technical skill. Lastly, Richie wrote the Ramones hit, Somebody Put Something In My Drink as well as I'm Not Jesus and others. Those are hardly jazz songs.

YES!! That was an awesome show. It was really fun opening up for them. I was in the band "The Jury" that opened for them. The guys from the Jet City Fix did an awesome job playing with Marky.

@TurboRamone999 Rich Reinhart is very good as is Marc. Its really a matter of taste. I always got the feeling that Richie was much happier with a big jazz band than the Ramones. But Marc is very good, clean and steady and very restrained when the music calls for it (as most Ramones music does). He is able to fit in perfectly within the singular Ramones' sound. Check him out with his earlier bands, Dust and the Voidoids, where he was really able to let it all out.

if you watch this guy in interviews he is actualy realy arogant! completely up his own ass any1 can play these songs! fucksake its what i used to learn drums when i was starting out, he also puts down metal drummers just cus he is bitter cus he isnt all that great at all, just a whole lot of nothing, sum middle aged 70's throw up mutton dressed as lamb, im not hating this guy i love ramones music but jeez MARKY DONT BE A DICK ABOUT METAL DRUMMERS

I find Metal pretty boring except for the really early stuff, like early Sabbath.

yer i understand that :) but to be honest i could do this any day of the week, it dosnt take a scrap of skill its just simple 4/4 for hours on end......gabba gabba hey hey...lol altho i like the ramones i dont think the drummer shud make out its realy hard to do like he did on another video :P

Most of the best music is 'simple' but arrogant musicians think simple is 'easy'. It either has great feel and vibe or it doesn't. I've played a loooong fucking time with lots of players. I've played with jazz musicians who put down blues and rock as 'simple' but they couldn't rock, and their blues had no soul. Their shit was all notes and intellectual whatever. Nothing is good just because it's complicated, nothing is crap just because it's 'simple'. I don't think you 'get it'.

yer i do get it, but when he himself is saying o "alot of drummers cant do what i do" well tht is a total lie, i do get what you mean but after all the beatles sold loads of cd's....but any1 can pick up a guitar and in a few minutes be playing thier song...is that realy a musician?

There you go again with that crap! So what if the Beatles songs aren't all that hard to play, they're great songs. You try to write songs as good!

Music is not a Sport, but Marky's point was that not all drummers have the stamina to do his thing for a whole set and it's true. It's much less fatigueing to do fills and varied stuff. I can play loads more licks and chords than Johnny, but if I had to play a set like he did my hands would fall off.

then you cant be very good ;) lol nar yer i know music isnt a sport, cus im crap ar sport and great at music, i could write 1000's of songs if all they needed was 3 chords..."she loves me yeah yeah yeah, she loves me yeah yeah yeah....." come on....do you seriously listen to that crap?...well in my opinion its crap, id like to think music has evolved since then but with people like soldier boy im thinkin...maybe not..u wanna see a realy drummer check out brann dailor...then tell me marky is good
