I remember my first listen to REO. My babysitter left her vinyl album of "Hi Infidelity" at my house and I put it on my record player. Instant fan that day-still am today!!!
@rockerbabyification,maybe 'That ain't love',lol. No, it is cool. My fave vid is Gary in Keep on loving you during his solo when he walks down the platform with this kinda pouty look, that says, 'yeah, this is it, this is me'! Great song, I have had the time of my life seeing them in concert; Detroit 08' and London 05'. Truely one of the greats of our time(s)!
compurple.....yeah its a good song, but I've been an REO fan since '74.....so dont put much stock into the CD that this song is on .....if you are getting into REO and you really want rock n roll, get their earlier CDS.........."you get what you play for" "live" is freakin brilliant.....
It's amazing, ya hear so many songs when you are young and when you find out who sings it, it's like oh yeah, fecking deadly!! although with REO, Kevin Cronin, his voice is unmistakable ..
This man is an excellent composer but where men like him mess up in these videos is that they hire women who are so above beautiful that they don't match. They might have beacoup bucks but they messed up with the pretending. . . Doesn't make it believeable but it is men. . . lol Sad to say. . . Trading up looks silly sometimes.
haha i've been an reo fan since i was born (now 18 yrs old) and they're my favorite band...i still got their VHS tape from being in their fan club a while back...its got all of these music videos on it...REO rocks!!!
I've been an REO fan since '72.....for you young kids....betcha didnt know tbey were around back then didja? Anyway...nice song, and its one of the few times you wont see Gary without his Les Paul. Looks like a Jackson in this video...am I corect?
haha, yeah, first joined together in 1968 i believe, fist album in 71. haha, im probably the only 18 year old that knows that, and the rest of the band history, haha. REO/TWO, great album from 72
You don't have to be so condescending about it!!! Though REO began slightly before my birth, I am a VERY big fan. This band's music supersedes that of most, if not all, modern bands. The lyrics are timeless. The music is, too.
I saw REO in concert about 3 years ago, and I must say that I am jealous of anyone who was able to have seem them from the beginning.
What a shame there is not a cable music channel playing these 80s videos. MTV has gone completely off the deep end and unless your a fan of thug rap and other mindless crap, your shit outta luck. Someone needs to keep these great old tunes going.
I couldn't agree more with you! MTV has went in the crapper. Most bands aren't making music now that is suitable to on the air. And the "thug Rap" is destroying the minds of many.
MTV went ape over reality shows and celebrity countdowns and exposes. I don't think they even show videos anymore unless it's part of a countdown. VH1 isn't much better. NDW is right about VH1 Classic. However they show a lot of crap too when they aren't showing the classics.
I saw them for the 2nd time at The Scope in Norfolk, VA on the Life As We Know It tour. They opened with this song. The crowd was a little slack, but Bon Jovi had just been in the area, so that probably played a factor. Joan Jett & The Blackhearts opened.
this song just brings back my younger years so much...thank you...i need that so much right now...i've been to iraq and the 80's are my only getaway right now ...thank you...
