  • its THE vehicle that I would associate with the Racing fraternity...ideal for towing a horsebox....love this car, and they were still building it in 1973. The rear numberplate shape is also copied in many Rover 75s.....completely fills the numberplate space!

  • wonderful car, good times.... please British goverment, bring back the real British Motor Industries...

  • Rover P5B & P6Bs are my favourite Rovers, this video just shows how ahead of their time Rover were back in the 1950's & 60's.

  • Style, reliability and functionality are important in any car.

  • Superb upload,thankyou for doing this.I love my P5.

  • Wonderful! 30+ years ago when i was a child, my father used to put Perkins diesel engines in them. First car I ever drove, would love to own one now.

  • Used to be the favourite showpiece of Dutch factory bosses, dignitaries and mayors.

A bit lower on the ladder you drove Mercedes..

These two cars were NEVER stopped by the police.

The there were the doctors and solicitors who drove Citroen DS.

Then the clergy and the managers who drove Peugeot 404.

These 2 cars were seldom stopped by the police.

Underneath that you were ALWAYS stopped and checked by the police.

  • Glad you liked it. I remember seeing you at Knebworth a couple of years back with your P5 Saloon.

  • Fascinating, thank you for putting this on.

I feel very privileged to have owned one of these fine cars for the past 23 years, and it still gives me enormous enjoyment.
