What is even more crazy is I was so young when I last saw this i didn't even know it was dubbed or that it was French. I just remember thinking it was a little weird at the end when they started going off about courage. I only ever watched it one time along time ago and never forgot it. To me this isn't a movie...its a childhood memory :)

I was trying to remember the name of this Christmas movie! It was my fav growing up! I remember I use to try to sing with the teacher but would have to make up my own words on certain parts! lol still do... best Christmas movie though!

I remember this movie when I was a kid. It looks like they use Karen Cheryl's actual singing voice and after she is done, and then they switch to the actresss that was dubbing her.
I think that they used Karen Cheryl's singing voice also because she'd done some Disco songs in the 70s like, "Sing To Me Mama" and "Are You Man Enough that are on Youtube, so she can sing good in English, but she couldn't of acted in English because the actress who dubbed her doesn't have any French inflection in her accent at all.
@rainer1980 Yep. I listened to those tunes and compared them with this, and it is her. i just got the DVD the other day to check it out since I hadn't scene it since Christmas season 1985. The DVD itself is terrible since the print looks so aged. I remember they made a big deal about this in France since Cheryl was given her own TV special to plug it. They also knew they wanted to reach an English speaking audience since there are a few things in the film done in English.
@acehighpat Not just the songs, but the note the kid carries in the film, as well as "Happy Christmas" written on the boardboard, and stuff seen on Santa's computer screen.
i could not remember the name of this movie at all at xmas time all i could remember was a brother n sister on a sled or something and part at the school and an ogre...it was driving me crazy and now i can be at peace again lol...i loved this movie as a child and now i wanna watch the whole thing and cant lol
@thequeenofnails This movie came out in the 1980's and was titled "Here Comes Santa Claus" which is the version on VHS.But when it came out on DVD they changed the title to "I believe in Santa Claus".I still love this movie after first seeing it in 1985.You can get it on ebay.Hope this helps.
@thequeenofnails...Me too...people thought i was crazy trying to explain wat i remembered...just that there was a kid and a girl in the woods....giant man finds them and trys to eat something think a wolf...Santa in the dessert...lol! But glad i found it too!! Peace for me too!
@dnaljay1 Ditto! I have been looking for this for years! It nearly drove me crazy. I could never remember the name of the movie and just on a whim I typed in a desription on the yahoo search engine. Joy of joys, I found it on dvd at Amazon! I havn't seen this since I was about 4 yrs old.
