Of the many MANY things I I find lacking in the Endless wasteland of 21st century TV... its the absence of local-flavor programing! Especialy the Horror Movie shows, with the Zany hosts! I wish the networks could (for ONCE!) listen to what their viewers wanted, and drop some of the 'Real Life' gunk and give us something more old-school!
Dr Shock FTW... I grew up next door to Doug (during the "Dr Shock era) and he a great job during halloween at his house/yard/porch. I remember him giving kids "fake" stab wounds and gunshot wounds. he made a ton of that kinda stuff right there at his house. He moved from the neighborhood and I havent seen him much.
I miss this show, not only the doc and the freak themselves, but the shrunken head, Dr. Von Grossenberg and amoeba and the fungi. I remember seeing it during the day when I first started watching it, then it was moved to night time.
epic. I remember I was the 'premiere artist' of the week when he showed 'My Bloody Valentine'. It was a pic of 'The Joker' and he sent me a bag o' swag. It's cool that Doug's making the rounds at the horror conventions like Wasteland. Nostalgia.
OMG when I was little I couldn't wait to stay up late on Saturday nights to watch Dr.Shock! I still love this guy. I really miss great low-budget shows like this one. GO FIGURE!

I wish I could have watched this when it was on TV. Is this going to be a yearly thing for him on Halloween?
