@mwheeler1994 A very early Mapex model of a custom snare he was in the making of creating. They did not sell to my understanding and he used a little bit of trigger on the snare anyways.
Rudess is very technical, but music doesn´t consist in being the best player. It helps. I prefer Derek in a change of seasons or falling into infinty than Rudess in the rest of the albums. Also, when he speaks on the videos looks like he´s some kind of music master.
Completely agree with Jesterheaded, best albums are: Awake, Images and words and Scenes from a memory. I also like a lot Falling Into Infinity (trial of tears is great) and Train og Thoughts. New albums are nothing new.
@Verucarock I think the actual song Octavarium is one of the best rock songs composed in history, the rest of the album doesn't hugely stand out. To be honest all of their stuff is good though, I can listen to any of it.
@Verucarock What about: Stream Of Consciousness, The Ministry Of Lost Souls, Breaking All Illusions, These Walls, Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence/Overture, Bridges In The Sky, In The Presence Of Enemies, masterpiece Octavarium and always mighty Dance Of Eternity?????
No good atmosphere at all, of course...
I think you schould listen to the songs before posting any crazy comments.
@Verucarock I really have to say that Images And Words and Awake are my favourite albums with Train Of Thought and Scenes From A Memory;) But my opinion is that Jorden has created a lot of good stuff with DT, so he kept the spirit of Kevin alive, although Kevin is legendary, of course!
@Verucarock i agree rudess has far better chops than moore but moores parts are so complementary to the total sound of the band. moores sounds were also so tasteful not show off
OMG.... 2:20 damn i miss mike.... T_T

Petrucci and Portnoy. I miss the combo. But I'm so excited to see what Mangini's gonna do when he has free reign.

Kevin Moore was the best. He represents the best moments of DT. Jordan Rudess is so boring and he´s not able to create good atmospheres

@Jesterheaded It is just my opinion. Kevin Moore has got the style. Jordan Rudess is very technical, but boring for me.
