The storyline of 'Thr3e' is, in my opinion, much more complex than the storyline of 'Saw', which I did enjoy as well. I can see how you, as what I am guessing would be an avid Saw fan(?) would be so fast to condemn this story, but it really is not similar at all once you look into it. I would recommend that you read the book if at all possible. :)

@googleeaterwoot Ted actually talks about this complaint in the Authors Note at the end of the book (at least in the version I have), he originaly got the idea for Thr3e in 2000, while Adaptation came out in 2002.
The novel was published in 2003. I've written a 4 page short story which took me a week. I can't imagine how long it took Ted to write a 398 page novel. The editing process on my story took a month, and I've still found gramatical errors. I found one mistake in Thr3e. Granted I'm not a professional writer, and my editors are not profesionals either, but it still takes time. It is no where near a far stretch that there was a three year writing process on Thr3e.
i bought spider man 3 on the market... inside where no spiderman 3... it was the worst peice of shit movie i have ever seen !!! THR3E!!! i got so angry so i tossed the movie out on the street so it broke, damn what i hate bad movies xD

First off, there is nothing ficticious about Christianity. I am a staunch Christian and I do not like Christian fiction simply because they attempt to make something up that did not happen often times by going to far and being blasphamous. However, this was a very interesting book. My brother had to read it for a English class and he enjoyed it. I think making a Christian movie look like a horror film is wrong. I liked the message, but I think it could be done in a different way. GOD bless

plus aside from the man making people go through pain because of their sins, there isn't much in common. Saw is all about bloody torture with a background story to be pieced together, but this is slightly different

For a low budget movie this was pretty goot! Watch it with low expectations and it should work for you =)

but uh...the movie looks ALOT scarier than the book...maybe i couldnt see very well but...the guy that played kevin wasnt that cute...(the book said he waz cute!!)

I just got through reading the book! I honestly picture the movie and book to be two different srories, because although the plot is about the same, nothing else really is!
