@aaduntov Jazz bass is has a pretty bright tone. Maybe try a P Bass or just turn the tone all the way down and use flatwound strings

@aaduntov robbie plays with his thumb, palm muted most of the time, almost on the neck. solo the neck pickup on your jazz, with some flatwounds and you'll be like 95% there.. it's all about the technique though.

I cop a nice fat tone like that on my lakland but I'm using tapewounds and a active 5 string.
