You shouldn't have to move it, I can do it from TOW at city entrance... just gotta remember the aim point

look exactly at where he shot it at the beginning, he goes in command view to show you where it hits. just look at where he aims and do the same.

It appears that he fires the tow, goes quickly to command map, and the missile drops in on where he is on the map.
