I don't understand one word he sings and yet his voice and the music gives me chills. Truly his voice touches the soul and when it come to that there is no color or race only the one heart which makes us all One.
I wonder he knows what he sings... his voice isn't too bad (wouldnt say the greatest) but he made it sound like he would sing it as an english song, especially the last part.
To Asian music, he is like Tiger Woods to golf. What a breath of fresh air!!! He shows how a song can be expressed so freely for someone who grew up from a politically and culturely emancipated environment.
Politician? Hardly. This is the version of the song that I learned as a kid, but in recent televised festivities the song has been altered and I was surprised that the original version is sung here. That's all I'm pointing out. Perhaps there is an undertone of politics, but I didn't mean anything by it. Oh, and as far as the "original", I was under the impression that there was another verse including the words 铁壁铜墙. Hmm...
