...I mean when the Police were originally still together, in the 1980's. When they did their "re-union" tour, they played their songs too slow...mainly because Sting is getting old now and he has changed his style. He doesn't sing as high and fast as he did back in the Police days.

No, this song is SUPPOSED to be played fast. The character in the song is alone and desperate. So the song is meant to have an edgy feel to it. In a lot of the covers I've heard, they play it too slow. This group actually played the song the way it was meant to be. Listen to the original Police version. And especially if you see videos of the Police playing it live, they play it very fast.

I know, it's so hard to keep the pace down when you're playing those songs, the adrenaline rushes fast! :p It's one of my faults, I tend to speed up the tempo when I play live gigs...
