  • When I found your demo , and than I fall in love with yours ! good job =)

So , this is not too good with a hum guitar ? The plextortion is better than this ?

  • It does sound great for a pedal, but still has a touch of "toyness" about the sound, at least at these levels. Probably awesome when the amp's really cranked, I'd guess.

  • Very nice Man!

    You know that doing!

  • @Burgerman666 so refreshing to watch a demo of a good player doing original licks not regurgitating others songs. good work!

  • @BryanSmith66 Thanks! The truth is; I've never been disciplined enough to remember someone else's licks very well, so I just make up my own. Lol. Glad you like it, though.

    Cheers. BK.

  • I've seen another hot wired pedal, bau it was black and grey...is different from this orange one I think...someone can explain me the differences between the two pedals?

  • @Bustio82 Same pedal, different color. That's the only difference as far as I know. :)

  • @Burgerman666

Thank you so much!!! Beautiful sound anyway!

  • confortably numb! Yeah!

  • Dude wampler makes the coolest pedals fuck i just wish they didn't cost so much. This one is 275 and this is the one i want so bad that and the compressor.

  • I dig Barber ODs but this one major killer OD and a double. Normally I hate the 3 knob single tone but this one cranks. Wampler makes some gain monsters.

Plextortion, Super Plextortion, PInnacle, Triple Wreck in order of intensity. Pinnacle is major EVh in a box, seriously! The TW will melt your face. Wampler and Barber kids, the best of the best.

  • Hey Brett love the stuff as always! I have a Hot Wired and I'm considering a Super Plextortion. How different or similar is the distortion circuit for each?

  • @crazyb3fan Thanks for the kind words! The Super Plextortion is much closer to a cranked Marshall sound - that's what it tries to be so no surprises there. The HotWired is not so much an amp-in-a-box as much as it is a straight distortion and overdrive calibrated mainly for single coil equipped guitars. It's my first choice when I need a grab-and-go pedal.

  • @Burgerman666 Thanks for the clarification. What's interesting with the HW is I find it cranks with humbuckers too. I have an EBMM Morse and an ES-339 and the distortion side is very classic rock (Marshall like) sounding - at least to my ears. I have to pick up a Super Plextortion to really find out I guess.

  • I'm really GAS'ing for one of these as I mainly play A Strat Plus (Lace Sensor pickups)

and a Musicman Silouhette and was looking for a Dual drive pedal to conserve Pedal board space.. Nice..

  • @chrispe14uk Yep, it's my No.1 go-to OD pedal when I'm using a small board or set-up. Fabulous.

  • @Burgerman666 Just got mine...Superb..They have added a "Fat" switch to both channels now and Graphics are slightly different but great pedal with my Strat and Musicman Silhouette (SSS).

  • SICK playing 6:35-7:10

  • Love your videos man!!! Greetings from Portugal, Francisco Abreu.

  • iv e watched many of all these guiatr effects stuff .. and i think wampler makes the best ones ... i m gonna look out for the Pinnacle 2

  • wompla brit .. bla .. hahaha brits makin country music ... ^^

  • @solunasunrise Who's a Brit?

  • i am sorry .. but you sound like a brit ... ^^ thats funney ... ay !? xD

I ve read that you are the most ...ähhh you would work most inside the rec. studio from all the guiatrrists in the world ... is it true ?

  • thanks for the great demos. The sound is good, and I love the little stand you've got the pedal attached to. Everything is clear and concise.

  • wow great pedal. do you like this better than the catalinbread DLS?? I can't make up my mind on which one to get first. don't say get both cus i can't right now haaa :} Dig how you play by the way too man, seriously! 6:37-6:50..awesome stuff there.

  • Thanks! The HotWired has far richer and prominent mids than the DLS, which is Nick's attempt (a great one at that) at Marshall classics. If you're a Tele or Strat player exclusively then get the Hotwired. If you favour a Strat and LP, go for the DLS. I have the luxury of having both on my board so I'm able to swap drives. There, see? I didn't say get both. Well, not exactly.. :)

  • haa i know you have both! well thanks for the quick advice. Im still gonna take a few more listens to make up my mind.

    peace

  • I'm so happy I've found wampler. After years of dealing with crappy, sub-par pedals, I've finally found a company that produces the types something of a high caliber.

  • wow it cleans up beautifully!!!

  • This is more your hottrodded DS1/Tubescreamer. The AC+ is something completely different. Both are great with single coil guitars but both yield distinctly different sounds. I don't think they can be compared for that reason. I like them both.

  • what s ur preference between this pedal and the ac plus??

  • I love the distortion side of this pedal - some great tones - I'm getting a Pinnacle 2 this week so looking forward to it

  • your an awesome player man, love the feel in your playing!

  • I'm flattered. Thank you. :)

  • Awesome playing on that tele!

  • I own one of these, mine is the grey color , very nice pedal indeed.
