You used correct speeds and air-corridors? I don’t think so. A flight from Sydney-Tokyo takes 10 hours. To this 18,000ft is a joke for a long-haul flight like this. Not even 18,000ft is used when operating on a 1 hour flight from Munich-Vienna. And 300+ knots for cruise… I’m not even going to bother to comment about that. And in the video it says "taxi" while pushback. Learn your terminology. ;)

How come ur cruising on a such low altitude? The usual cruising altitude is somewhere around 35,000 feet.

no cos theirs still no oxygen above 15 000 so the fuel wouldn't run out too quickly

yes, but realisticly you would fly higher to conserve more fuel, most airlines are concerened with fuel consumption which is why on long haul flights they fly at FL330 to 370.

I need help i accidently screwed somethin up while loading the game, a thing came up saying the font had changed to windows vista basic, i clicked on this and it wouldn't , a box came up saying i needed a graphics but i can't afford it, does anyone know how to get the color scheme back to basic?

its fine all vista users get that

it just meants that FSX is uncompatible with vista aero color scheme, it automatically goes back to ur original color scheme when you close FSX

on fsinsider i tihnk that there is a downloadable fix for this problem so have a look around there

you have to have advanced animations on and the scenery density high enough that the jetways appear and then you just press ctrl+J **NOTE** this does not work with fs 2004...

yeah theres a glitch that sometimes in FSX the locked spot cuts out the tail so u gotta zoom right out

if you want a jetway, set your scenery to ultra high and experiment with the gates, you will get lucky in the end

i think Kingsford Smith is mostly jetways

no, you put the taxi lights on usually. you put the landing lights on just before you move onto the runway

no the jetway is default. you just need ur scenery to ultra high, and then in customize, you have to set the density to extremely dense. everything else is default.

Did you accualy take 12 hours, i know it said you sped it up 8 times, but was that in the game or when you were editing it?

yeah it was in the game. you can speed it up to 128 times realspeed, but its limited to 16 with autopilot. its a bit hard to control in 16X, so i just do 8X

technically, there werent any passengers on their, i just taxiied up to the parking space and applied the jetway. the payload contrls the ammount of passengers.

the landing was quite hard actually, it was going be an ILS but i cocked it up, as said in the description. manual landings just takes practise, and a bit of knowledge about the procedure. ILS is a bit harder, i might do a tutorial video

Great first video, but here are my corrections, first of all, you had no flaps for takeoff, you were over speeding, and you came in to land to high!

But, I must say, you've had this game for about a month, and for your first video, it was brilliant.

thanks, i did actually use flaps but you couldnt see them from the view frmo tower. and as for the landing, i always land at the middle. thats what they did in farnborough! but thanks.
