@demonshiro You should check out "kids story" and "a dectective story", from the Animatrix. Also the "Breaking the Habit" music video for Linkin Park. They are all key animated by the same guy who did the animation for this, Kazuto Nakazawa.

I think the guy in the white suit is actually supposed to be Bill. The hairstyle's the same, and of course, the Hattori Hazzo sword. Also probably the one who trained O-Ren in swordplay.

This version looks cleaned,more definition, they show the guts of the yakuza boss, the bride getting the ass beated.

The other version looks like a nightmare, a old memory blurred with only blood on it.

@rbenns2 well, there are two versions of the movie: the international and the japanese version. the japanese cut is longer and more brutal (the fight scenen in the tee house is in colour, the anime is more violent etc.)

@rbenns2 it is longer. in the fight scene between o-ren's father and and another person, he smashes his head against the wall but it doesnt shatter then he throws another punch and it splats against the wall. the other is when o-ren is about to kill matsumoto. it shows you her slashing up his body and then shows you his intestines. thumbs up if you agree!

@rbenns2 The differences are: One of Boss Matsumoto's men has his face smashed into a wall twice, rather then just once.

In the scene where O-Ren Kills Boss Matsumoto she tells him to look at her face, her eyes her chin ect, rather than just her face to be recognized. There is a close up shot of her pulling the sword up his stomach and chest where in the American version she just pulls it out. There is also a shot of his face and a close up of his gutted body cavity.

And Its pretty obvious that its a Hanzo sword it looks exactly like one. They wouldn't just show the marking they wanted to keep mysticism in the film. Tarantino does that kind of stuff. Also Cum on he looks exactly like Bill. He is not Asian his features at 2:48 show clearly that he is not Asian.Oh and why would they show his ring if it wasn't bill?Its his ring.

Oh and why would they give him close ups if he wasnt a main character.

@brn932 yeah. Well i think Quentin wanted us to think about it. He always does stuff like that. if you think about it there are a load of stuff people take for granted in his movies. The fact that the katana butch had in pulp fiction looks like a hanzo sword is no coincidence. Bud mentioned pawning it off lie, but still its not impossible that it somehow got to that paw shop. It makes you wander. What if all his movies are in the same reality ex: what if Aldo is Vince's grandpa? or something?

It's the same song that we can listen from the beggining to minute 2:07, its name is "The Grand Duel (Parte Prima)".

Then you can listen "I lunghi giorni della vendetta" till minute 3:25 and afterwards "The Grand Duel" is retaken just from the minute we had stopped to listen to it.
