I completely agree with the main Core Reveal, to be sure. Did you see it? LWCore looks great but the way they presented it... They didn't even get rid of the greenscreen halo!!

Ok, i know, i know that lightwave can do better than it but i am telling just what i see, and the cityscape isnt a big deal, the models are well done ok, but the render isnt what we saw in "i robot" (2004) or spiderman (2002) or something like Final Fantasy (2001). the sss in the humans at the videos dont look ok, come on, we are in 2009, people still talk about "lightwave great renders" but even in a demo reel i cannot see a big deal.

To be sure, Newtek's choices for the demoreel aren't the best. They don't have good marketing skills. Try looking at some other render demos from others. Not trying to be apologetic - Newtek have their work cut out for them - but the renderer in the right hands is a very powerful engine.

While it's one small example (and I don't know WHY IT ISN'T IN THE DEMO REEL) is Iron Man - Lightwave rendered the entire V1 Suit sequence in the terrorist camp.

Ummm... Well, the midportion there is done by regular users of the software, and the contest was that you only had a month to do it.

The rest of the video, like the cityscape? I honestly can't see what you're talking about in the slightest - especially the "weak renders" part. Did you look at part 2?
