It's nice to drop anchor off Catalina after sunset, switch on the lights and drink a martini at the transom and watch the show the fish and sharks put on. They are very curious about the lights. It's like having the worlds largest salt water aquarium. Good job OceanLED!

I have multi-colored LED lights in my pool, and you can do programmed light shows with color blends and changes. Is this something that you have explored doing on a yacht? It would be very cool. Also, are you limited to putting lights below the transom only, or could you also run them down the sides of the hull? It would look wicked to have a multi-colored show tied into the stereo sounds around the entire boat.

Fuel cap.1,189 gals, a fill up of diesel fuel at $4.50 would cost you $53, 505. Also, you would have the cost of a slip and taxes too. Seriously, you could be comfortable on a 45 foot and still have those OceanLED Lights. Living on a boat is awesome, but you must have those LED.

I thought about ocean LED...but they are truly a joke. Look at this picture carefully and see the level of over exposure...The navigation lights look like star wars light sabres...Ocean LED routinely manipulates their media for the sake of hyping their product. Anyone with half a brain understands they are running overexposures and gamma shifts....You are better off buying 50 watt HID lights; they cost less than 500 USD and are 10x brighter and do not crap out like leds...

We use external photographers on our photoshoots and we are the ONLY underwater light company to have commissioned a photoshoot. It is exceptionally difficult to capture the lights, due to various factors such as ambient light, wave movement & color balance. Add to that a moving boat, helicopters and handheld cameras you start to see the challenges we have had to overcome. We NEVER retouch pictures and dont overexposure, increase ISO ratios etc beyond what is necessary to get the perfect shot

I've been shooting video since the 70's, and this shoot looks perfectly viable to me. This is dusk, not night... big difference. Viewing the video on Youtube with digital compression (for streaming video) introduces artifacts to the image that can be easily misconstrued as digital trickery. Add a consumer-grade LCD monitor to the viewing experience and it can look downright cheesy. tjenk71 can't be faulted for getting the wrong impression... but this expert (yours truly) says thumbs-up.

@tjenk71 They are fragile to vibration whereas LED's are not.....they give off heat whereas led's not so much.... HID's( high intensity discharge) require INSANE amounts of juice to light.... you would need another battery and a second alternator just to run HID for any extended length of time....without a noticeable drain on available electric power on the boat's dc-based power. LED's use minimal input voltage to sustain brilliant, bright, light.
