Dahl should at least appreciate the fact that many of these adapations, though hated give a new audience general interest in his books. However though and this is taken from the original films: The Oompas were right about 1 thing. with books you get no commercials

I think - in that respect - he did agree with you. So ne adaptation goes against his ideals
