  • Fatal ignorance, indeed. Ignorant people who think it's cool to own a white tiger continue inbreeding tigers until this genetic mutation shows up. Meanwhile, more and more tigers are born that are genetically unable to survive in the wild. It's the ignorance of these breeders that ends up killing these fierce, majestic animals. And shit like Mike Tyson's pet tiger in The Hangover just keeps this practice going.

  • What a lying b**ch.. no mental deformities from inbreeding.. Right..That cause that's the "norm" for everything in Arkansas..

  • I'll bet Willy misses Kenny. {:'( Is Willy still alive?

  • we visit turpentine creek and donate every year they take very good care of the animals that they have rescued

  • Thank God for organizations that step in and help anoimals that are victims to the ignorance and greed of humans.

  • People be selfish and careless? Those are tigers.. not people. They don't know any better because they can't reason.

  • @knivesy I think you misread it. It's saying that people are selfish and careless because those two tigers are the product of inbreeding to reach a desired color, and the declawing is pretty much for the same reason a house cat is declawed. No scratching you, or the furniture. So.. That's why people are selfish and careless.

  • It breaks my heart that anyone can declaw any critter. Its like cutting of a humans hands and feet while they are asleep and letting them struggle to adapt.

    Bless Willie and Kenny

  • I miss Kenny! Sadly, he passed away not long ago. He will be missed. Love you big guy!

  • white tigers are well cool!

    I want one. lol

  • i shuldent seen that im very soft hearted

im very sad poor creature RIP

  • @lioness77777 At least he was given a chance to live. And the life he had was made too be, as kind to both him, and his brother as possible! :)

  • I know about Kenny & his brother Willy. However I've never gotton such a good look at Kenny walking. What's wrong with Kenny's right hand?

  • I LOVE ORANGE TIGERS!!

  • I just posted videos of the cats at the same facility taken on one of the behind the scenes photos tours. Sending you a friend invite too.

  • I did not know Kenny had died,RIP Kenny,ye are now at Rainbow Bridge and are 100% healthy and on behalf of the human race i apologise for the suffering ye had until ye were sent to the Sanctuary in AR

  • why is willy limping

  • @sims2xoxo You mean Kenny? I think it's because his right arm, wrist, or hand is longer than the other one? And it maybe because he's walking on a smooth surface.

  • Kenny passed away June 27th at Turpentine Creek, he had cancer.

The following is an excerpt from an email I received from TCWR:

"Rather than let him suffer, we were going to have him euthanized but he died early in the morning of the day the vet was scheduled to come out to put him to sleep. He was found dead in his den, with his ever faithful brother standing guard over him."

    Rest in peace Kenny.

  • All white tigers are inbred. That's how they get the white coloring--it's a double recessive gene. Poor Kenny is miserable. DON"T SUPPORT WHITE TIGERS!

  • people bred a brother and sister just to see what would come out. literally sick and disgusting. and the best part is they got not even the mildest slap on the wrist. ive been to this wonderful place, and you would not believe the absolutely nightmarish conditions the animals there came out of. bless everyone at turpine creek. please help them by donating. i do:)!

  • The face of the white tiger looks deformed compared to other white tigers... or in tigers overall. Is there a reason? Either way they are both cute though.

  • It is the result of inbreeding. Kenny's parents were brother and sister.

  • I wouldn't be surprised if most 'white tigers' looked like that. The pretty ones you see in zoos are the lucky ones.

  • Kenny and Willie's parents are Conway and Loretta. Conway suffers from shortened tendons in his paws while Loretta was basically bred over and over and over.

All 4 were named after country singers.

Kenny (Rogers), Willie (Nelson), Conway (Twitty), and Loretta (Lynn).

  • im a huge animal lover and people that let animals suffer like that such be shot,,how could they live with themselves...tigers are nearly extinct we should be looking after them,,animals dont have a voice so they cant speak we have to speak for them.

  • It would of course take far too much sophistication to be considerate of responsible owners and only bash on those who do wrong.

  • i personaly LOVE tigers! it almost made me cry for the one limping. i feel so badly for it. thanks for posting though.

  • In response to LuvlyLilLady,I volunteer at an exotic cat refuge,I personally know tigers that were beaten, starved and kept in tiny cages standing in their feces and urine for literally years. All were privately bred and owned.Breeding tigers WILL NEVER help save any of them in the wild.Rescuers DO NOT and WOULD NOT ever consider breeding.

  • Be rescuers, not breeders. They are FAR from the same thing

  • We need to fight the right to private ownership!

  • Kenny and Willie both got a new enclosure which has grass, and lots of room. To see it, check out TC's page! It's fantastic!

Nice post, breeding white tigers should be illegal!

  • Very thankful there are places like this to take care of Kenny and Willie. God Bless you both - in my eyes you are beautiful. The breeding of white tigers is very wrong.

  • Aw thats kenny isnt it? the white one

Poor thing, to be honest i think he looks cute

But he seems to be in alot of pain

  • why was this call "FATAL IGNORENCE" nothing died like i was hopeing to see a trainer walk in and get owned or something. FALSE ADVERTISEING?

  • FALSE ASSUMPTION is more like it. And the reason for the title is the story behind the two tigers.

  • It is very sad that people will breed animals for their own greed rather than love the animal. It happens with pure bred dogs and cats as well.

  • I too feel sorry for these animals too.

  • that is sad... I really dont go to the zoo for that reason

  • If you do not know about the inbreeding that goes into producing white tigers, please read this page and you will never support another circus, zoo or road side show that exploits these unfortunate cats: bigcatrescue (dot) org/white_tigers.htm

Carole Baskin, Founder of Big Cat Rescue

  • Very sad what people do to try to get the money making white tigers. Thank you T.Creek for taking care of Kenny.
