  • I bought that cam... its really good, but only if you dont move it on filming. Its only good if you have perfect light-conditions (like in that video). An if you to upload it to youtube on 1080p its a very big file... And.. you cant compress the format, that this JVC-GZ-X900 gives to you... its a special compressed format, that you just can use by JVC-recorders...

  • @cof61a

What you said couldn't be anymore wrong. JVC uses the MTS a/v container that can be compressed/modified using any number of video applications, and it's used by many different camcorder manufacturers. Go online, search "MTS to MP4", and you'll understand why I'm so irritated with you. Also, there's software on the CD that came with your camcorder. Read the instructions.

  • @aspect30a hey thx for your comment. I use an iMac so its really difficult to find any software to compress. But if you will find some software, please write it here... i cant find any software that works with my mac... on software cd theres only software for windows...

  • @cof61a

There is ImTOO Video Converter for Mac. There are also tutorials for other software at Moviesmac and AppleMacVideo; do a search for "MAC MTS".

  • Very good scenes and the colors pop right out of the screen. I do not know if its the JVC Everio GZ-X900 or the YouTube encoding but there is a little aliasing in the video.

I can tell you Panasonic and Sanyo have almost no aliasing issues at all. Panasonic bought Sanyo a few years ago, so somethings they might share with technology between the two companies now.

  • Thank you, I wish you many dynamic HD recordings with your X900!

  • Very impressed! I just bought one myself and I'm busy testing it. The OIS is remarkable. It requires some work to get acceptable, noise-free footage in low light... Some of it's footage may find its way into a doco I'm shooting with a 7D and 550D... Having control over ISO and shutter speed makes a big difference. Being able to whip it out and start shooting instantly is great for doco situations. I'm about to test it on a rock and roll shoot...

    Thanks for this beautiful video!

  • 0:19 I was there :D

  • I found the reason for the little jerkyness in the movements on Your beautifull "Toscana" video. It is made with 30 fps and the camera recorded 25fps. I have seen on Your instruction videos that You still have got the footage. I would recommend that You make a 25 fps version. Just so it will be even more perfect!;-)

  • @jenserikbech I will check the framerate of the edited footage, perhaps FCE factory default was 30fps. Thank you for this comment!

  • Good scenes but Your movements are jerky. Even the zoom is jerky? Have You changed framerate? I am interested in this camera. It's price have dropped dramatically. What do You think of the build quality?

I have got a Mac myself and I have Final Cut Express in my drawer. But I prefer iMovie!;-) Still Your videos best represent the possibilities of this cam.

  • @jenserikbech My iMac gives smooth movements, I didn't upload in 1080p because the movements in that resolution are critical with Youtube and a not so fast webconnection. The build quality for is quite OK for me. I prefer Final Cut Express because the apple pro res codec is better than the apple intermidiated codec used in iMovie. A little study ok, but it's great fun & quality. For the best (AVCHD)-DVD & BD quality I export-burn with quick time conversion H264 codec + Roxio Tost Titanium.

  • @multimediaeducation I'm not shure that FCE import makes better video's especially becourse FCE recommends import in "iMovie". The AIC codec has the surname:"professionel" and is part of the operating system. Not a part of "iMovie." You have to find out the reson to the jerkiness of your exellent video. Compare my video from to day:

    greetings

  • @multimediaeducation

Greetings. i se your fine video nearly every day and now I have got an Everio GZ-X900. This cam is 25 fps. I wonder if yours are 30fps? Now who cares? it is a very nice camera. If You will bother you can see my first video here made in iMovie ´11

  • @jenserikbech The HD Everio I use is an European model with 25fps. Your video is very nice, great the colors and resolution of the autumn trees! Perhaps you already checked the latest iMovie 11 keynote? Great features with this new iMovie!

  • do you mind if I ask how big is this video file?

  • Beautiful scenes. You are so professional. A tripod is certainly helpful to take good and steady videos.

  • @videohknt Thank you!
