@kileyeugene but you get used to it. and it doesn't hurt as much as people think. I do pointe and it only hurt when I first started. but occasionally it'll hurt.
@SuperCrazyWild786 imbecile faggot. Such piece of art in front of you, but your pea sized lower middle class brain junt won't let you get it, will it?
I took ballet classes when I was young, but severely disliked it (or at least convinced myself I did), and hated ballet for the longest time after I quit. Then two of my friends forced me to watch the series Princess Tutu... Oh My Lord do I love ballet after that!
It's an odd way to rediscover an old passion, but I'm glad for it. I truly regret giving up on it so soon, since deep down I really did love it.
I have such respect for swan lake and also to toe dancers, i couldnt even fathom being on my toes for that long even after many years of training. I used to do ballet and never quit after a while, which im sad about. But there were two advanced girls who would help teach the classes and they were toe dancers. All I know is their feet would be bloody sometimes and bruised others! Thank you for the upload! <3
i feel it has taken black swan 4 people 2 understand swan lake !!!!!!!!!!! i love swan lake it is the most beautiful ballet ever , i cant wait 2 take baby girl 2 see it , i just hope she understands the tres meaning of it xxx
Jackson Carroll was in Grade 12 when this was performed. He is now a company member of the Dusseldorf Ballett where he is doing very well. The young woman is still a student. She has received many offers but there has not been an official announcement as to which company she is joining. NBS recently posted a video where you can see her dancing last year as part of the Stephen Godfrey Choreographic Workshop. It is the video profiling Rob Binet, himself another rising star.
See, a performance like that isn't something just anyone can do. People who say ballet is a 'girls only' thing are complete idiots. Her extensions were wonderful and she is extremely graceful. I sincerely hope she is still able-bodied and dancing.
@Iilita3223 she probably is still dancing she would be a senior student grade 12 this year but this performance she was in grade 10 my ballet teacher knows her and the guy dancing would have graduated last year this was from him being in grade 11
That was REALLY nice! A big role to take on as a student. And if she wasn't even in graduation year she is still very young. Gorgeous legs and extensions. He is really good too and as someone said I like the way he actually looked at her arms before taking them and holding her in the slow part in the 2nd half. I hope she is still working hard and is injury-free!
The two main dancers are wonderful! Although it's relatively upsetting - I have done ballet for nine years now, but because of feet issues, I can't continue... You can imagine how upsetting that would be...
I really like the way he relates to her--that is something that is missing in a lot of pas de deux, even with professionals. Very smooth, confident partnering.
She is lovely; very clean technique. I do wish someone had told her about that left wrist, but nobody's perfect. Overall, an outstanding student performance!
Oh, how expressive and technically perfect she is! I can't believe she has such such a mature interpretation of Odette at such a stage- a graduate! Stunning.
I'm sure there are a lot of male solo-parts in ballet, but that's what I don't like about pas de deux. The man basically stands there to look pretty and to support the woman showing off when gravity would pull her down too much.
Who is this ballerina? Which company did she go to? She's incredible and it's hard to believe she was a student! Her performance is light years better than even Gillian Murphy!
Simply Wonderful. As an ex professional dancer what I can say is its hard to beleive they are still all students, they are all good enough to be a company themselves...What lovely control of legs and head etc, and all the corps together. The Male partner very good uses his head in time with her well in the adagio part...I'd would like to know what they are all doing now.......
Thanks for posting this in HD, simply amazing.

@Firestarjude The "left wrist" as you call it is a distinctive and purposeful part of the Bruhn choreography. She was doing it quite correctly.
