While i am not denying that asians and europeans are dedicated, I am going to say that you are terribly misinformed when you say that North Americans are not dedicated. I don't know if you know about DCI, but if you don't look up some Div. I corps, like the cadets, cavaliers, blue devils, carolina crown, santa clara vanguard. Trust me, pretty much every corps is dedicated. Every corps is putting in eight hours plus of hard work every single day on tour.

you can tell them apart cause show lines dont have quads normaly, and have marching single toms, and the snares are normally tuned lower than the high sharp sounds of corp lines

to all the people who hate on this video let me explane something.

there are 2 kinds of drumlines, there is a thing called a corp style line, such as Phantom Regiment or the Blue Devils. for corp style lines the objective is to play extremly choppy beats very clean (my personal favorite)

then there are things called Show lines. This is an example of a show line. theres more of a visual and groove aspect to it than playing clean. this is the show line equivilant of clean

There are at least 30 corps and countless university and HIGH SCHOOL drumlines that can trump these guys EASILY. I don't boast but I have marched in a corps drumline and I am persuing a masters degree in percussion - I am far superior to what this shit is, and I still know that I have a long way to go. Broaden your horizons - listen to some REAL lines.

This drum line is named "Top Secret" and they are from Switzerland. This was their first performance, granted it isn't the best vid of them, but they do win Tattoo after Tattoo. They drum in the Scottish tradition --- primarily snare and bass, seldom tenor.

you guys, really. While sizlchest's response was a bit uncouth, he wasn't that far off. There are a lot of high school/ college marching bands that take their drumline very seriously and could pull off performances like this that are as good/better than this one. Doing this stuff does require INCREDIBLE amounts of talent and shouldn't be scoffed at. That being said...I think you all need to "calm your ass(es) down" and learn to respect other's opinions.
