I still have this game on the PC and I find it's a lot easier than in PS1 where I first played it. With the fps controls,Caps Lock (trigger sprinting/run) and the auto-aim, I find it fun playing around with the enemies with rarely getting seriously hurt.
How is this underrated? This is like a known PS1 games back in the days, well here in the PH. I was still a kid when I first played this in my cousin's PS1, and I can even remember how those freakin robot thingys once scared the hell of out me. Among my blurry childhood memories, this is the game I most remembered and enjoyed.
MDK is a modern classic and I was the only one to enjoy it as well when my dad had it installed on the computer all those years ago. He intended it for himself but I really got into it.
IIRC they never said that it would be murder death kill. MDK could also stand for the protagonists' names, which are Max, Dr. Fluke Hawkins, and Kurt.
It's a third person action game with some really trippy, and imaginative level designs.
It's made by Shiny of Earth Worm Jim fame, and has a unique atmosphere to it. It's even got a hidden room where you can hit EWJ heads and drop cows on the enemies.
What do you use to record? I am trying to get a capture card where I don't have to hook it up to the pc. I just want to hook my camera up and record off the tv and then manually import the video files to my pc. Please reply!
yeah - as much as i love bioware and as amazing as their other titles are, i think they're better suited for RPGs - the MDK sequel didn't capture the awesomeness of the first one hardly at all.
i've actually written a rant to interplay about making MDK 3 and making it like the first game - it should be interplay's website's forum whenever they approve it, but i can send you the text of it in the meantime if you're interested lol. i think a next gen MDK 3 in line with MDK1 could be AMAZING. :D
This game blew my mind, well, when I got the hang of it.

I haven't done it yet, but I'll probably add it sometime in the future.
I've had the game for a few years, but I haven't really put enough time into it as of yet.

Murder Death Kill! The most sarcastic game in the 90s. Starting with the name.

The ads were promoted as Murder Death Kill though. Which was amazing. And awesome.

This was my favorite game on PS1, and is in fact one of my favorite games of all time.
This was the first Teen rated game I got, and only 11 at the time, it felt great breaking the "rules."
Thanks for taking the time to give this game the attention it deserves.

I have MDK 1 and MDK 2 for the PC and although MDK 2 got the better ratings there, I like MDK 1 WAY more.
