usually when u have a home invasion you dont want to take chances with your life. or your family's life. generally u want to stop the intruder dead in his tracks. and he might be high on drugs or drunk on shiskey or violent with hate and rage! and maybe wants to rape! or torture! or kill! so my advice is use 00 buck... stop the threat dont scare the threat.. put him down quick.
XTPs are alot better than PDX1, PDX1 seem to fail expansion tests constantly.......XTP do not.....Golden Sabers every time i see them, the jackets come off......What do you think about 158gr .357s?
I think the Golden Saber 102gr .380 would be a good Bullet.
i agree about the shotgun shell choice i have used remingtion game loads for self defense on more than one occasion and they work fine up close and i dont have to worry about anything going trough and maybe hitting a family member
dunno, ammo is so expensive I make my own .22 cal rounds with steel nickel instead of lead, I rarely miss so I really dony need a .45 cal. . The nickel slugs seen to work fine, ever through most walls, cars and kevlar vests :-\

Because when a hollow point makes contact witht the person the ay the point of the hollow point hits the person it spreads out and puches an even bigger hole in the person, so unless your using them to kill, use norml
Hi, from another Missourian ! I really like your taste in handguns. I just wanted to comment on your shotgun ammo. I think the BB's are fine at 7 yards. I use a Mossberg 835 as a home defense gun and allthough I have some 00 buckshot saved back . It is kept loaded with 3" Mag Turkey loads in 4 shot magnum . At 7 yards unless someone is wearing body armor any shotgun is going to be effective in stopping a threat. I am also teased about my choice,but stand by what I know will work !
@FrenziedCalm I inadvertently did some of that live fire testing for you, courtesy of some muggers that visited me in my parking lot. I can personally confirm that lots of small projectiles are plenty effective. I got hit by a 20ga birdshot load, and it sure as hell stopped me.
My fav ammo is golden sabers! I use the 45 185g, 10mm 165g, 9mm 125g! My reason is becuz when it leaves two exit wounds! the jacket shed after 11in of pen! I seen sum test they did and it always left two exit holes! Thats like getting shot ones but it damages like two bullets! Great vid!
I think that a BB load in your home defense shotgun. I think someone would think twice about continuing to go through your house it you pepper them in the face with BB's. I keep 2 rounds of bird shot in the tube, then 1 of 00 buck. If i really need it, then i have it. Good video bud.
