The show is awful now. You're right about Bill Bell. I"m surprised Lauralee made a recent appearance knowing how this crap is ruining her father's great legacy of daytime TV. Remember when the show was ADULT? When Lauren showed up at age 20 she was THERE. She, young Danny, Traci and the rest were adults who acted like ladies and gentlemen. The established crew must show up only for the checks now and probably can't believe how the show has dived with bad language and ridiculous story lines.

It's because of her mother not wanting her and mistreating her that Dru has such a problem controlling her temper. I mean you see how she always acts out and loses it when things aren't the way she wants them to be. And how she resorts to getting what she wants. After Dru had been committed temporarily, I started thinking that maybe they should do a story with Dru having therapy or anger managment. Dru really needs to get a hold on her anger problems, regardless of why she has them.

Victoria Rowell is a horrible actress who has no restraint or subtlety. She OVER-ACTS to the point of hysteria every scene and doesn't give the other actors breathing space. In comparison, the other actors in this scene are brilliant and a million times more effective, especially the mother. I hope Vicky Rowell doesn't return to the Y and the R, otherwise there would be no set standing since she chews the scenery like there's no tomorrow.

When Bill Bell was the writer black characters and this family was just as important as the Newmans and Abbotts, and now because of the new writers, Kay Alden, JAck Smith, Lynn Marie Latham(especially) the black characters are null and void. You got Lily who apparently doesn't like black men, Devon who is scarcely on, Neil is just Neil, and Olivia comes on once in a blue moon, and Dru needs to come back.

This would explain Dru's temper and violent attitude. I mean having a rough childhood and finding out that your mother didn't want you because your father was drunk when they conceived you, can scar you. But that's still doesn't excuse Dru to act out all the time, like the way she hated Daniel and Lily being together. She has to understand that she can't always have things, her way. I don't think Dru deserved to be committed, but she could have used some therapy sessions, like anger managment.
