I read that Dr. Who was about to be canceled before this first ever Dalek episode aired. It got very high ratings and save the series. Dr. Who went on another 25 years.

@Kapitananime "dalek invasion of earth" isn't the first dalek episode, The Dr. visited skaros itself in I think the 2nd episode, it was the first place he went to when the series began.

i have seen this it is my second favourite hartnell story my favourite is the aztecs

@decgar07 I agree.. The Aztecs was one of my favs from the Hartnell years, but I think "The Space Museum" is probably my all time fav from Hartnell. But The Dalek Invasion of Earth gives them both a run for their money....hard to pick a fav DW episode, because they're all so good....well except Love & Monsters....The Gunfighters OWNS compared to that one.

one thing i love about the doctor who show is that it respects what cam before. i wise us shows and movies were more like that. dont reboot something, let it be mostly the same, or create a new franchise!
