There abides in the deepest depths of the human soul, among those who seek love with all they're hearts, a place where God waits for each one of us. if you will go there, and cry out, He will meet you in a way that you never dreamed.

I love this tune. Its my favourite outta of all the soundtracks in the Kingdom of Heaven. It brings sad 2 say the King died and had leper since he was 16 years old.
english chorus: And Thinking Of Her sweet Sleep Overcame Me i Am Your Master see Your Heart and Of This Burning Heart your Heart (Chorus: She Trembling) obediently Eats. weeping, I Saw Him Then Depart From Me. joy Is Converted to Bitterest Tears i Am In Peace my Heart i Am In Peace see My Heart
Words can't describe the true beauty of this song. How much we try, we fail. Because each word will be unworthy to it. Listen to this song and realize that it's a gift from above.
France, the flower of chivalry. The knight in shinning armour - in principle at least.
The Knight Templars were not exclusively French, which many know. Their had quarters all over Europe, more prominently in Spain and Italy. However, most did reside in France, or at least until the order were wiped out on the orders of Philip IV, King of France.
This piece is a modern classic. Its called "Cor Vide Neum", it was inspired as an opera classic ..originally based on Dante's "La Vita Nuova" and specifically the sonnet "A ciascun'alma presa".I believe Patrick Cassidy composed it originally. Its a lovely peice and best appreciated at the Opera. Its featured in the film "Hannibal" where it is performed as an Operatic piece. Listen to it as an Opera Piece, trust me its stunning.
I remember first hearing this at an Annual British Royal Marine Commando Officers function night/ball in 2004. Im a 28 year old Major with the British Royal Marine Commando's. Stunning piece. It was also performed during our Battalions own Rememberance Day to honour the fallen when we returned from Helmand, Afghanistan in August 2009. Helmand being Afghanistans most dangerous province and under sole commando of British troops.A fitting piece for our return home.
Long ago the British knights fought in battle against the middle easterners ,and so nearly 1,000 years later, you face them again. May you fight with the great belief such as your ancestors, only then shall you prevail over your enemies. " Knight thee" - Brother Godfrey
Great news Sir, I was a gunner with the RAF and did more foot slogging than i'd hoped for. We lost a few close friends at a check-point and this indeed reminds me of the rememberance. As for God and crusaders..I dont know. I think God would be disgusted to see what man does for their name. Best of luck to you, here's to being home. (Btw i'm 21 and they sent me home due to injury)
@StueyLestrange . Good man. Sorry to hear you;ve been sent home. However here is, indeed, to being home. Let the good times roll for now. Wont be long and we'll be back over there. March 10th. Just around the corner. Here's to you bud.

correct- the french normally outnumbered the english nearly 2-1 or more, but always managed to get their asses whooped with staggering losses. french knights were really pathetic, as the french military throughout its conception
what a stupid comment. the english had superior technology. france was easy to invade logistically, (england wasn't, which is why it became so powerful) and the english had access to the most superior wood for making bows (longbows) in the western continent.
you pretty much just stated a bunch of garbage based on nothing more than your seeming hatred of french people. cause hatred of a group of 70 million different people doesn't make you a dumbass or anything.
Lol, an island nation isn't easy to invade to start with. Did the english have any friends for them to be even tricked? Don't call an island nation superior in technology, when that's all it is, an island nation. France could easily be invaded because they have to be prepared with soldiers for invasion to the N, E, S, and W. While since boats were shit back than only concerns for england was south and east coast to protect.
Because they invaded CENTURIES before when they were fighting the Britons, an entirely different people who had different technology. What a concept. Not that anyone's looking on youtube for sophisticated thinking.
lol you just got your ass whopped multiple times by scots but they got conquerd and they where scots they didnt have plate armour like english they only used light mail not heavy mail so what if the french fighted you? ithink they would win french heavy cavalry>english heavy cavalry
well sadly, you dont know your shit either, the english did fight the french many times. and yes the french cavalry was technically better...but, nonetheless, whenever they did bumb into each other, the english prevailed...look it up, it's called agincourt.
yo, buddy, the gauls weren't french, they were barbarians, it was the ROMAN EMPIRE that developed the francs. before that, the gauls were no where near being close to the medieval french.
and shit bro, look it up. france fought the majority of WW1. why? cuz well they entrenched themselves 6 feet into the ground for 4 years on the same patch of dirt until they finally pushed the germans away, i call that a major victory by all standards. even tho they had help, they stayed and fought it out.
@KingRaffers You are correct, they were french, if you play Assassin's creed, you will see that Robert is a french man. You had all kinds people nationalities and shit...
I'd dispute that. The amount of times French Knights were pretty much torn to shreds by the English, who also had knights but not at all in richer armor or in greater quantity.
Many European states had knights that were of similar status to their French counterparts. Germany for instance had many but they rarely bothered with this particular Crusade.
Sorry but this ridicolous all European Nations had great knigths and heroes France isnt the country with more in fact France didnt even exsit in modern nation-state of today
Well the "original" Knigth Templars were diverse in origin also France wasnt realy France back then just a colection of diverse counties kingdmons duchies Occitans for example didnt saw themself as French
The French have lost more battles than any other nation in the world, going all the way back to the barbarians of Gaul, who were slaughtered by the Romans.
At least, they have fought for something they have believed in. Courage is a virtue that few nations dispouse of. France is one of the greatest nation on this earth, great culture, great history.

the english knights used pretty much the same armour as the french but they prefered to fight on foot....that is why they had lonbows...

well sadly, you dont know your shit either, the english did fight the french many times. and yes the french cavalry was technically better...but, nonetheless, whenever they did bumb into each other, the english prevailed...look it up, it's called agincourt.

you are retarded, do i need to remind you that it was french knights who developed england in the first place?
murphman300 2 years ago
yo, buddy, the gauls weren't french, they were barbarians, it was the ROMAN EMPIRE that developed the francs. before that, the gauls were no where near being close to the medieval french.
and shit bro, look it up. france fought the majority of WW1. why? cuz well they entrenched themselves 6 feet into the ground for 4 years on the same patch of dirt until they finally pushed the germans away, i call that a major victory by all standards. even tho they had help, they stayed and fought it out.

All those knigths weren`t french. In this movie some were. But most were German knigths, Swede`s And Englishmen were also amongst them.

err no.. in this movie there were mostly Knights Templars which means they were French. German knights were Teutonic knights.

@KingRaffers You are correct, they were french, if you play Assassin's creed, you will see that Robert is a french man. You had all kinds people nationalities and shit...
realgood2nite 2 years ago
Yup, french knights were also the finest soldiers in this time since the knights originally came from France.
KingRaffers 2 years ago 2
@KingRaffers are you French or something?
realgood2nite 2 years ago
LOL no.. haha.. I'm Filipino :D

BritGBM 2 years ago
Yes. But the most recognized knights were that of France and England. Norman Knights were also one of the finest.

The French have lost more battles than any other nation in the world, going all the way back to the barbarians of Gaul, who were slaughtered by the Romans.
littlemonty94 2 years ago
At least, they have fought for something they have believed in. Courage is a virtue that few nations dispouse of. France is one of the greatest nation on this earth, great culture, great history.
claudius11ox 2 years ago
Very true, France is a great country. Maybe not the greatest in military strength though.
