I'm not sure why a lot of people were saying he was possessive and obsessive. He was just taking care of her. He didn't want to lose her like he lost Julia...Sure he overreacted when Clare broke up with him , but she promised she would never leave him. I'm sure Eli knew it would end eventually, but not so quickly and the way it did.

it sucks, because i love clare, i love eli, and i ship eclare almost as hard as i ship jiberty, but eli is being a tad possesive. i think that's why clare is reacting this way, because she's never seen this side of him and it scares her. if you think about it, eli is her first serious boyfriend because with kc it was so innocent. so of course it's new for her. that being said, i understand why eli feels the need to hold on so tightly, because he really needs her and doesn't want to lose her.

Clare doesn't sound so convincing when she's all "it's happy like springtime." She had the same enthusiasm as when she said "dances are fun." Aislinn really needs to start selling these lines because her enthusiasm is the same as Kristen Stewart's in Twilight. The roadtrip idea is so cute of Eli. I feel bad for him that Clare isn't so interested. Clare shouldn't find it so bad that he asked her mom about it. He didn't want to go without her parents' approval and wants to spend time with Clare.

I have a feeling Clare does not know on what to do. I honestly think she is scared of Eli. She does not what him to flip out. I have been something simular and it ended very badly and I am not a teenager. Eli is very controlling and that is a big problem with OCD.
