sounds real nice; do you have the super 40s or the original 40s? I'm about to run true duals on my 5.4, but I'm not sure which muffler to go with. Thanks for the help
@bigloudford How do figure that? Do you know what true dual even means? I've got separate exhaust pipes for each manifold. Just because there is an x-pipe, or h-pipe in the system doesn't mean that it's not a true dual system. It's not a SIDO setup.
i thought true dual was two seperate pipes that arent connected in any way from the manifolds back. no crossover pipes. i wasn't being a dick or anything. it just seems like there's alot of variation on the term "true dual." if i'm wrong here, someone help clarify.
@bigloudford True Dual means having 2 sets of pipes, 2 cats, 2 mufflers and 2 tailpipes. The old school way did not include a crossover, but as people realized having a crossover helps balance exhaust pressure and increases scavenging, it became the standard for true dual.
What's not a true dual setup is a vehicle where the exhaust passes through a single muffler, then splits out into 2 pipes to go out the back.

It's a true dual exhaust setup with an x-pipe and 2 SISO flowmaster 40s.

@sreuschle
the "x-pipe" part means it not true dual.
