  • The intro voice scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. I still remember this even today, lol.

  • Sounds so fresh, like a sunny morning!

  • when I looked at some of his music files, some of them were around 8k for the whole song!

  • Listen to this back in the day over and over. Loading that tape everytime.. Never played the game tho..

  • i wonder if rastafarians smoked a joint to this game...

  • @RawbThatPunk

Haha yeah, i pretty sure about that!

"Yamon yamon, pass tha ganja. Yea yea, one love brotha."

  • This kind of music is one of my first loves. No-one makes anything like this in computer games, anymore.

  • I'm just writing to let you know that I'm attempting to remake my game 25 years on. Visit the blog to find out more - chimera2010(dot)com - thanks! Shahid

  • I think a new adventure is about to begin... acid anyone?

  • It really is amazing...

    64k Ram... and they've got to;

    a) compose music

    b) create a pregame on the 'loading screen' (in some cases)

    c) Create Speech

    d) Write a useable game...

bloody amazing.. all with just 64k !

I've got text files bigger than that lol..

Now, i'm gonna go check out 'impossible mission':) "Another Visitor... stay a while.... STAY FOREVER !!!!"

  • @motormusic1 They weren't as wasteful. They can get up to 10GB or more of ram, with hundreds of gigabytes these days, but they can't make a game as good as the did in the 80's. Proof that classic games are the best.

  • sound was great. game was boring.

  • @MeinErsterFilm I'll try and do a better job this time! :-)

  • I loved being a teen in this era... If a game had Rob Hubbard Music it was worth buying... :)

  • Isnt that just right, the best game I got by just buying when I saw the advert to say "Music by Rob Hubbard" also came with Archer Mc Clean graphics.........................

    You know what one?

  • Oh wow yeah Archer Mclean! Dropzone springs to mind... but it was a guaranteed high scorer in Zzap!64 if those guys were involved...

oh the good old days :)

  • @motormusic1 So you don't remember then?

The answer to the question below was IK+

Now that's the best use of 64k i've ever seen in my life.

  • Rob = God

  • The dying-sound of this game was rather memorable too

  • I actually have this game... Now only a datarecorder that works and I can enjoy this game!

  • Fucking classic!

  • I never thought that I would ever hear this again!!!!!!!!!! But where is a little gameplay?

  • I've always liked this one, however it seems to me that Hubbard copied the basic (I don't know music, so I'm not sure what to call it), structure of the theme from "Summer of '42".

Check it out, YouTube removed most copied of it due to copyright claims, but you can still find a couple online.

Listen to them both and tell me that it's just a coincidence.

  • Awesome, i guess you're right. It seems that Rob Hubbard was inspired by this movie theme ^^

  • Holy sh*t! I remember crapping my pants when my older brother put this game on... The intro voice is still a bit scary!

  • One of the SICKEST songs on the C-64... Smashing Pumpkins must have mined this track when they were making Gish.

  • I asked for Rob on this game. (I did the SFX and game, he did the beautiful music). I specifically asked for fretless bass as I'd not heard it done on C64 before. He delivered - and how! Thanks Rob! Memories. :-)
