Proton Wira 0-165km/h

I have a proton wira made in Malaysia, it's a '96 4G92 1600 aeroback, made some upgrade, put a racing piston, lightened flywheel, modified valves, K&N filters, racing wires, port n polish cylinders, 17 inch wheels, lowered suspension , can reach a speed of 200km/hr. I am now in the rebuilding process due to floods that stuck us in '08 . I have some problem where I can buy replacement parts that I would like to replace such as new model tail and projector light assembly. Can anyone help me please

can anyone help me? in the morning my 2000 wira 1.5startup is so bad... sempat lagi batuk batuk... it takes like at leas 30 sec just to get it running.. the moment i put it in reverse it nearly stalls. (its an automatic). when the car finally starts, you can smell the strong smell of petrol at the back.. at junctions i put it into N it nearly stalls again.. after a while of driving its okay.. completely normal.. can anyone help me?

@nizziezzar okay, i suggest u take ur car to the workshop.. ask them to decarbonize the engine then check all the valve's.. after that get the timing belts checked, oil,..

gear 3speed auto design bukan untuk kelajuan tp untuk tahan lasak jer.nak gne dlm bndr ok but in highway xleh.kalu aku ske gear auto 4at.walaupun xlasak tp best untuk speed

@maxmarquiss 1999 2000 2001 these are all wide(MMC)engine,But it ate oil.If 2002-2005All with (VDO) engine,To no avail for me (VDO)engine not explosive1.Save Fuel...

I like Proton because it is better than china made cars , and some korean made cars . It has good crash test result .

Too bad their interior design and gear shifting is horrible .

I drove a 05 Proton Wira (A), 90 Proton Saga (M) , Proton Waja 02 (M) and a Proton Perdana V6 in Malaysia

banyak pomen biasa tak tahu. ini rahsianya saya nak bagi tau 200km pun boleh sampai. cari kabel 400amp dan buat grounding di 5 point injin dan body sebabnya kilang proton tak pasang grounding yang cukup .grounding yang dipasang hanya ada pada sebelah body shj.yang lain zero. sebenarnya injin proton power .tak perlu tambah alat2 merepek yang dijual dipasaran sebab kesan yang ini ketara bila hang semua pasangkan. kesian kat korang aku bagi tau segala cerita setakat dlm iini shj

Of course la... Yours is manual transmission. Surely will have better pick up and yours starts from 80 onwards.

Managed to do 188 km/h on flat with my mom's 1993 Wira (fully stock). 1.5 manual carburetor... It's still alive and running. =) I'm amazed myself that the car is still in good running condition after so many years. I guess lady drivers take better care of their cars. LOL.

Manual car can be pushed to higher limits. Carburetor should be better at higher speeds because it doesn't control the amount of fuel as per injection engine. I drive a manual Satria now.

True enough but an auto 1.5 Wira max speed is 165km/h. However, on uneven roads, I managed to reach 175km/h. Drinking petrol like @#$%^&*!
