I dont know if it was the character, or actor I love, or both, but the two episodes of TNG Barclay was in were two of the more colorful, and interesting episodes of the series.
Gene Roddenberry's vision for humanity in the Star Trek universe was that men would accomplish great things in spite of our own shortcomings and flaws (and the flaws of others). No one personifies Gene's vision better than Lt. Barclay.
What a great choice of music for this video montage of Lt. Barclay! Your editing choices were really very good, timed well with the pace of the music. This was lots of fun to watch and I especially liked the ending. ** END PROGRAM ** ;-)

While I question "Killing" your wish has been granted. In the game "Star Trek: Elite Force 2" Geordi has gone on to his own ship and Barclay is now Chief of Engineering on the 1701-E. WHen disaster hits the Enterprise Reg really springs into action.
Broccoli was like THE coolest semi-permanant char EVER on Star Trek... some came close, but no, its Broccoli!!! The normal, mentally deficient, could-be-anyone crazy nervous guy!!
Barclay is the personification of Roddenberry's philosophy of the human spirit transcending it's own limitations. Sure his confidence is low but when its truly important the Regmeister pulls through and delivers.
Reg is usually once a season recurring character. But when he shows up you can be guaranteed a truly memorable mishaps is going to happen. He was also on a half dozen eps of Voyager too. In his dozen or so episodes Red got more character development and everyone in Voyager and that crappy Enterprise combined.
Same here. If you can find a copy of the game Elite Force II, we find out that right after Nemesis Geordi goes to his own command and named Barclay to be Chief Engineer of the Enterprise! He's come quite a ways from the shy Holodeck addict he once was. When a disater strikes the ship Reg snaps into action and gives orders with authority.
He's my favorite too. He can even make an episode of the usually craptacular VOYAGER tremendously entertaining. And his recent action figre from Art Asylum is one of the rarest and most sought after of the line as it was only one per case. Fitting Reg get a prestigious spot. I was lucky to find one.
