Not sure what it is either had it here in MN as well. I put Seven on it and cleared it up over night. My plants had only been been out for less then 1 day when I noticed it.
Could be the "snot" left over from snails maybe... my Zuke got attacked by snails in my area, and put down snail bait all around the plants and are now snail free.,
The white stuff almost looks like powdery mildew, but being that you are in Texas and the heat we are having, I'm not so sure. Normally mildew likes cooler wet conditions. A agree with the others. Cut that leaf off and toss it in the trash as far away from the garden as possible. Do the black spots come off like an egg?
I would immediately cut off that leaf and remove it to the trash, not the compost. I would then spray down with insecticidal soap or a combo of garlic, chili and dish soap diluted with water. Looks like something is either laying or incubating on your zukes.
Try Checking them at night. to see if that's when it's happening.Try sopy water and cayan pepper mixed and spray under the leafs to see if that stops what ever it is.Thanks for sharing.Tec
