I'm listening to Bel Canto for over 5 years now. I never delete it out of my mp3 player and never get bored of it. It's a true masterpiece and it's a shame we can't hear such marvellous music with soul at modern medias. We get a piece of garbage instead. Voice of Bel Canto's singer is just stuning and unforgetable, lyrics are filled with hidden meaning, they've their own class and quality... Why we all get fed with junk like Lady GaGa etc then...?

Bel Canto was probably the most underrated band in northern Europe. They did sound a bit like Cocteau Twins, but they had this frosty, Scandinavian quality to their music, which made them quite unique. I keep going back to them now and again. I remember listening to the Birds of Passage album for the first time on Polish Radio Two with my ear glued to the speaker at about midnight back in the early 1990ies and the excitement of discovering every note of it.
