I hate the superdutys,nothing but a real pita to set up on a hoist.I know a company that has them with the 7.3s and have to keep the garage door open a little bit.The fumes from the exhaust are nasty.The hubs for the 4x4s are junk,freeze up and there is one fix.Ditch the factory hubs and replace them with warns.The 6.0 and 6.4 blow up with no warning at all.Been hearing the new 6.7 is worse,in the shop most of the time getting fixed.Having problems with it already.

I have been told of a guy in Grand Rapids,Mi that is converting two superdutys to the cummins in place of the 6.0.Makes a much better reliable truck in the long run.Most places hauling trailers,no fords since they don't find the powerpuke reliable.Use Dodge duallies with the Cummins and Chevy/GMC duallies with the Duramax.Will not get my father to buy and drive a Ford,does not want to work on it all the time.Has a brand new 2011 Dodge with the Cummins,a 3500 single wheel 4x4

Fords are junk and break down most of the time.Plus they are huge money pits.Ford needs to stop doing everything the hard way,a real pita to work on and most cuss when working on them.The new Duramax and the new Ford diesel were put to a test and the Chevy won barely.My Matco dealer read this in a magazine article.

@PowerStroke4Life100 You mean powerpuke?Jasper found huge problems with the 6.0 and over 30 upgrades done.I know a few people that have the duramax,no problems.One has over 180,000 miles on it,it has hauled trailers for all of it's life.The first owner had a Ford with the 6.0 powerpuke at first,it blew up with no warning at 30,000 miles.Luckily there was a GMC dealership across the road when this happened and traded it in for a new GMC with the duramax.

@wafrederick ha.. im not going to disagree with you that the 03' to early/mid 05' powerstrokes are powerpukes. I HAVE both duramax and powerstroke.. I absolutely hate my duramax. And by the way.. 180,000 for a diesel .. isn't shit. We've got a 97 7.3 with 273,456 miles .. and still running hard. pulling trailers and working every day. I think it all depends on preference. I personally like working on Ford engines/driving fords than duramax's.

They make a decent truck, but I'm partial to old trucks, particularly the first gen Dodge diesels. Last of the classic American pickup trucks, built with solid iron and steel. They're basic and the ride is awful but they last forever, and that's why I love mine.

I have a 99 7.3L Superduty coming on 300,000 miles with no major problems. One more year and I will be upgrading to the '08. It's not that I want to get rid of it because it's a problem, I just want something new. 10 years in the same tuck is a long time! Way to go Ford.
