wow...just wow. I honor any one who makes a video walk through of this game. No better walk through for no better game. I got to say that This game,in my opinion, stomps any game out there today. I love this game for as short as I can throw it (that's not very far because I would never throw it). In fact I got so into this game that at the end in the battle with Yami with the cutscene, me emotions really got going.

And thanks! With my home theatre setup I have my PS2 connected to my A/V receiver and can play it in widescreen in 1080p and it looks great! Everyone who needs a hand in this game, look no further! @SkelIy I don't think they'll remake it, but I'm sure Sony will host it whenever they finally upgrade their firmware so all PS3's can play PS2 games and add PS2 games to their downloadble roster. :)

I love this game! I beat it a while ago, and I hadn't even thought about it until just now.

Two questions, though.

One: Why can't you skip the opening? I've beaten the whole game on the PS2 three times, and I have to sit through the intro every time.

Two: When the talk, is it just noises, or is it, like, sped up Japanese or something?

The PS2 version doesn't give the option to skip scenes unless you do a new game plus I think then it's possible. But even then I can't remember for sure. Either way a lot of people complained about that so they made it an option in the Wii version.

It's people talking and then having their voices scrambled to be unrecognizable.

It's pretty rare that Japan get's games that we don't. Usually the ones we don't get would only appeal to a very specific type of interest anyway or are too specific towards the culture that they would make bad localizations.

Okami has been brought to north america twice at least, once on the PS2 and once on the Wii. So... these days we get most of the big titles, and even some of the weirder ones.

If you're talking to me then sure, I am special. For lots of reasons. Hiragana and katakana aren't going to get you far in a text heavy game because they utilize a lot of kanji so I'd like to hope you at least learn the more commonly used ones first before you take on the task of playing a Japanese rpg. Piracy of DS games is REALLY easy so lots of people will get the game well before I do, like I really care. I'd rather get it legally though. No sense traveling to Japan when I can import games.

It's possible, although not necessarily. His LP was an English translation patch of the GBA rom, so he may have never played it in Japanese.

They made a new studio called Platnum Games, but since Capcom owns the rights I'd say your right, the chances of a sequel are like..nil.

There's a sequel being made for the DS, but it's not going to come out til at least late 2010. Anyway, I think it's called Okamiden. Look it up :)
