I see on your description that you have a kicker 650.4, I also have the same amp. can you crank your head unit all the way up or more than half at least with clean sound?

I ask because I had pioneer hu with a memphis 4 channel amp and I could blast that head unit all the way up and I always had clean voice.

Now i have a jvc unit, polk speakers and that kicker amp and sounds distorts easily........I am trying to rule out item by item.

@Brich45 well bro no matter what for a chevy any wire harness will run u 100 and 150/w onstar from what i remember. so no matter waht brand u get going to run u alot because everything is tied up in the wire harness

@ALEXort2007 Hey got 2 set of the alpines I I was doing some observation and when I used to turn the volume to 25 and max was 40 the crossover fuse was lighting up like getting red is that normal or that means I'm sending to much power to the speakers. I got a JL Audio 900/5 Amp and running 100 watts per channel. I have tweeted the amp yet.

Read the discription. I am almost done with my front facing 1/4 fiberglass rest MDF box. I am sitting around 6.4 cubes with a 4" seat lift. I have 4 RE SE 10"s that are going in there with the 3 4" aero ports firing like his 2 are.

I got a silverado Im doing a build for but I need a rear over seat design for 2 brutus squares looking for 1.5-2 cubes each chamber after displacement I'm slapping a swiss audio sdx2000c on it so it should hit like yours

damn dude that shit beats hard I have the same model truck with 2 12" orions but the downfire box is to small so Im not getting enough air flow through it check out my vid the sound is not so great but just so you can get the picture of what Im talkin about

My gain is between 1/2 and 3/4, I can't remember where exactly. You either have a problem with not supplying enough current to your amp to function or your Ohm load is too small (<2) on one of your channels.
