morrishaw reply, why dont you just chill and enjoy the living legend that pleases us all been a boss fan amongst other s sadly gone, enjoy the charisma and talent this guy does night after night when lets face it he dont need to, enjoy mate enjoy
what a gig i had been looking forward to it since the tickets came out on sale. it was the first time i had seen him live and he brilliant. i would recommen one of the bosses concerts to anybody, after all he did hold off the normal rain u get in the glasgow fair.
but what gig it was.
i took my brother-in-law along and he still hasn't shut up about it.
I wonder how many people there went because they saw him at Glastonbury or because they are genuine fans? I guess it doesn't matter, if his glorious set at Glastonbury attracts new fans that is a good thing. Apart from Born In The USA, Bruce's fanbase in terms of album sales is about 4-5 million.
highlight of "show" wish i'd seen them live 20yrs ago, before he wrote some of the other stuff they did, first half hour just passed me by, i'm old enough not to just accept everything he does as being "awesome" whatever that might mean, on reflection i think i'd rather not have got to see them live after waiting 35yrs and judging every band i've seen by how they'd compare to springsteen, had more in common with mamma mia or riverdance than say T in the park, goodnight it was just alright brucie
From the numerous posts you've made on youtube its clear that - short of Bruce & the band jumping in a time machine and emerging onto the hampden stage as the pimped up, scruffy, rough around the edges funksters of the hammersmith '75 show - you were never gonna be happy!
He is nearly 60, and like you have matured and changed over 30 years with your expectations of a gig, Bruce and the band have also matured and changed - its nature.

sorry, i didn't realise your ticket money was somehow more valuable than mine or that your back catalogue was more important, i have springsteen albums that are older than half the crowd but can't comment? U2 have an amazing new live show, would i go and see them, they charge half the money, no, not if they paid ME, would i go to see anyone else? no, i set the bar high a long time ago, only he was worthy, everyone else a poor second best to my ears, still the same just a bit too vegas for me

keep the personal stuff for somebody that wouldn't kick your arse for your cheek sonny. i'm only disappointed he didn't do rosalita, or kittys back or if i fall behind, list endless, never said it was bad, just wish he'd think up some new spontanious adlibs instead of the choreographed schtick, i bet those down the front were mouthing all the "you can't take any more" along with him cos they knew when they were coming!!! i was 12 in 1974 when i bought WIES, got GFAP too, i earned my opinion
Morris, Morris, Morris...what the fuck are we going to do with you? Every Bruce in Glasgow vid I click on there you are... And I'm sure the irony is lost on you that while you criticise Bruce for the 'same old schtick' you're littering these vids with the same old virtual bitchmoans - I've now seen the number '35' come up more times than it does in a roulette wheel.
Here's a Newsflash, cockwipe: Your warped sense of importance is the antithesis of Bruce, the band and the rest of his fans.

pisses you off doesn't it? good i'm glad, but somehow all your bitter vile insults are justified and its me thats the warped one? good night, its alright johnny i see you mouthing that as you sing along hey, maybe you were the grown man i saw clutch his muscled calf as he sang? what would have happened if i was someone who thought his music was shite? if i was an ACDC or Eagles fan and thought they'd been better? theres countless millions who think just that i've met some recently, mad of course
Deep breath & step back Morris. Obviously passionate aboot the Boss. But your posts all seem to boil down to critiscising fans who can't help the year they were born & have approached the mans catalogue from a different direction.
Thanks so much for the sigh best sign ever being to 15 shows over the last few years this is the song i waited so long to hear amazing concert as always i will see him in new jersey in october

i just discovered this song.
i wish i had known it earlier.
it's probably one of springsteen's best, or at least in the top 10, no?
i NEED to see this live.

Morris - you're only disappointed that he didn't do an endless list of songs? Easy man to please, then.

So awesome. I hope they play this for the LA X-mas shows.

bax52 - many many many thanks for making the sign. This was the first time I've heard Incident live and it was your sign that did it.
Glasgow 2009 goes down as the best Bruce gig for me - even tops Rounday Park. Being right at the front helped - but so did Incident.
geraintjohnes 2 years ago 3
that may be the biggest sign of the tour
themovielady 2 years ago 2
Just want to add me and my mate Dave made the sign ! A joint effort and such a buzz seeing it on stage !

Cheers bax. I was just behind you - about 10 rows back. Should have asked for Evacuation of the West though lol. My vid of this is from closer in.
craigscot67 2 years ago
Ah really ? You going to post your vid ? Would love to see it.

Waiting on it uploading now - missed the first few secs. Have other things that I'll put up too, but Incident was the closest I got to a full song.
