  • Most Fire Departments and Police Officers call them FORD EXPLODERS. Because they are top heavy and will flip on a dime. Especially when you blow a rear tire, then they become unsafe, with major loss of handling even at slow speeds. BEWARE FORD EXPLODERS KILL.

I blew my tire at 70 mph and flipped 6 times. 8 months later I still having surgeries. FORD KNOWS THAT THEY ARE TOP HEAVY AND HAVE THE LAWERS TO DEFEND THEM. I was a ford lover until FORD tried too kill me. FORD SUCKS!!!!!!!!

  • not even close to 40 mph

  • @GIwillo heard of slow-motion?

  • @suntannedmedal dude... i am not stupid.but just look at the deformation.40 mph would look different.im am sure.but if you have more info pls show me.thanks and regards

  • @GIwillo If you search for 2006 ford explorer on safercar.gov, It actually says 35mph if you place the mouse over the question mark below driver

  • built ford tough

  • how fast?

  • probably 40mph

  • ok thanks :)

  • Real nice.....I love fords

  • mine just got totalled 20mins ago

  • ford explorer is a nice car

  • jap cars the worest ever

just give me an 70's jap car that still work or on good shape

  • You meant, like all those ancient Hondas, Toyotas, Mazdas still driving around? You know, renowned for their longevity and astounding ability to never die?

  • @Werevixen, all of which dont exist

  • its a head on.... i want to see an offset!

  • Chassis bent, roof bent... but if u were driving and this happened i think you'd be ok

  • The chassis bends :S

  • What do you mean by European cars? true the average European drives a small 4cyl diesel with a manual transmission so yea, that wouldn't be able to trailer your boat. If you look though you'll see they have plenty of automobiles that are able to tow anything you would need. I'm a huge supporter of the American Automobile Industry but im not biased nor do i lack knowledge on the subject.

  • I got in an accident the other day.

The car behind my car crashed into my Explorer when I stopped.

He was not paying attention on me.

But,almost NO DAMAGE on our Explorer!

Maybe a little scratch on bumper though.

The car behind us...it got scrapped. LOL

Glad I had this car,cuz I had 3 kids in a car at that time!

  • @ikachanusa omg...who should believe this stupid story?!

  • if you want to see the frame buckle you should see the 2002 model!

  • it looks excelent although the frame bends a little the driver compartement is COMPLETELY intact!

  • the whole fucking thing buckled up. now no one can get out ha

  • poor chassis

  • what the hell that thing don't deserve to be an suv, it almost broke in half

  • very safe!!! already up to safety standards of 2012

  • in the explorer just because the frame bends and thats what its supposed to do ! GOO FORD

  • because it dident crumble means there will be too much force crushing you

  • 35-40mph

  • effectively the new ford explorer it's a good car. I like the american cars and I love the united states but you must see the original euroncap crash test of the car chrysler voyager(model 2007),is really terrible, the frame collapse, fatal injuries. This test is not acceptable. Chrysler voyager it's really a familys car?? it's a joke?? in Ialy the price is approximately 40.000€ Scandalous I hope the model 2008 will be better, bye

  • @FrancescoArezzo1584 This is a full frontal, all cars pass this test... duh

  • @FrancescoArezzo1584 oh, you want a euro car? then you must be gay, right?

  • @FrancescoArezzo1584 Euro shitboxes? HAHAHAHAHA you gotta be kidding me. XD

  • @FrancescoArezzo1584 You sir, are a dumbass

  • SAFE!!!

  • dude did any one notice how the roof deformed??

  • just sheet metal, nothing wrong structurally

  • dude, did anyone notice the really cool bubble that went through the roof near the back?

  • Yeah... that looks pretty cool... but what the hell is it? Just from twisting forces from the impact??

  • probably waves going through?

  • Yeah the 06's are better built then the last gen, thanks to the 04 F-150 inspired frame.

  • That thing's a tank! Safe, but I would still take Honda...

  • GOOD! The side impact was rated 5 stars

by the NHTSA but look at the video by the

iihs and the ratings! Looks lk it sucks!

  • Very good. Yeah - alot of damage to the car but the main thing is the driver wouldnt be injured.

Check out some of the ones for Mini Cooper and other ultra small cars. Thats scary.

  • It's only good because it's a full head impact. If it was an offset into a deformable barrier crash test, it would fare much worse

  • they did nt even drive fast crash test my ass they car will died soon

  • The video was in slow motion, you know.

  • i bet that put it outta alignment :P

  • The frame is supose to move. There's a crumple zone in the frame so it will crush and bend downward to absord impact and bend away from the cabin.

  • The frame moved.. But didn't get the air the Chevy did..
