@noJungleKiss I started the walk around 10am from Hollywood Blvd and walked to where I heard there was a trail going up the mountain to the sign. The trail winded round and round for miles before it got to the sign. I had bought 2 litres of water with me which were gone long before I reached the sign. On my way back I got lost and missed the path I came up. Instead I kept walking around the mountain side before I reached the Observatory pretty much dead from no water.
@eddyk3 Some locals decided to help me by giving me a bottle of red hot water which had been sat on their car dashboard...I still downed it in seconds. They then offered to give me a lift back to my hotel...which was handy as I was still at the top of a mountain and many miles away.
haha, least you didnt fly to the sign and bus back down.
