@sergiomarchelli again this religion, well there might be new country formed with no religion in it,there may cyborgs remain it will be cyborg country.
@sergiomarchelli I wasn't created by a god ^_^ I see no reason to think of humans as gods either :D If I actually felt like it I could convince humans that I am a god :)
@MHarley93 "God" implies being all-powerful and or all knowing. We would be their creators, not gods. To be a cyborg it would need to have biological elements anyways or it would be an android. In which case we would have had to create the biological elements also, to have fully created it ourselves. "God" is not a technical term to begin with.
The inevitable 'evolution' of this civilization. Most people are already fully metabolized by this zombivilization, so it wouldn't surprise me that many would gladly become fulfledged cyborgs. I suppose it's the only way the civilized figure they can survive once they will have accomplished their ongoing greatest mass extinction of species since the dinosaurs era.
I would give my every possession to become a cyborg (though it might cost a bit more than that) chances are I could get it all back no sweat if I get good improvements. Imagine having things like built in like night vision or zooming or ultraviolet. Imagine it not even being possible to flinch and make a mistake with your hands. imagine the possibility of extra storage space for your memory, or removable drives.
@sergiomarchelli You're sort of right. I think our hippocampus technically stores every memory we've ever had, the issue is that most of us don't have the biological "hardware" to be capable of using it as active memory. It's not so much a matter of learning. It seems it can be extracted through hypnosis but that requires a lot more than an operation manual. Any benefits technological augmentations give, would likely add to that potential, so long as it does not replace what facilitated them
@KevinLounsberry Ok, it would be amazing to have those abilities, but think of this...if you need energy now, you just have to eat drink and sleep...if you were a cyborg you would also need to recharge your batery, you would also need a special place to store that batery so it's safe, and there is also the risk of shock due to the damage a batery container might have...now, if you can find solutions for these problems, that would be amazing :)
@KevinLounsberry Yes, but I feel that making a batery small enough to not be a nuisance to the person who is wearing it is still a big issue, and even if it is small enough, deviding power to all of the robotic parts for lets say 14 hours...thats a 9 to 5 job + 6 hours of "life" ...is still alot, what do you think about this ? :)
@kosec321 Neither are fixed :P but are certainly on the way. Also, there have been made robots which can run on protein from bugs, so it's possible that that could be an option for energy recharging, we'd just have to eat more.
@kosec321 also, it might not necessarily have been the protein they ran on, but they certainly were powered by some sort of energy they got from the bugs.
Think also of the subjective experience of time: If you can think at the speed of one million terahertz , then a minute could last a century, couldn't it?
they we gonna have the cyborgs experimenting on our asses. Think of that too, anyway you know the human nature and it's not always good, we are an violent species with a lot of of ambitions (good and bad) and imagine a cyber serial killer thinking twice faster as us, never gets tired and has lighting reflexes? would be real bad. well just an Idea.
@zeppis2 why would we need to experiment on you? Being able to think orders of magnitude faster (twice is really naive) than you means we can simply simulate an experiment. If we need a human body for the experiment you aren't that hard to grow. You are basically afraid of your own shadow ^_^
Like it or not, this technology will eventually result in a new species on planet earth, a carbon/silicon hybrid, or cyborg organism. Hollywood has made it appear terrifying, with movies like Matrix, Terminator, and Star Trek ("The Borg"), but does it necessarily have to be a horror story? Perhaps the addition of massive memory, processing capability and storage to my brain would be a welcome adjunct. Just imagine all the wonderful thoughts and memories I could enjoy.

if we make actual cyborgs, then wouldnt we technically be their gods.
MHarley93 2 years ago
well yes, until they technically decide to enslave us and kill us...
then well be technically dead ;)
NTA88 2 years ago
@NTA88 why would we bother enslaving you?
PinkProgram 1 year ago
@PinkProgram lol, yeah, it would have to be a pretty lame cyborg to need human helpers.
KevinLounsberry 1 year ago
yes, and in same way we don't like the God created us, they won't like us and we will understand what God feels.

you have most of these things, but you haven't learn to use them. For example everyone have extra memory, but most of us don't have any access to it.

@kosec321 This is true, but battery technology has come a long way, especially with electric vehicle advancement research.

@KevinLounsberry interesting, thank you for this reply, can you tell me where i can learn more about robots that run on protein from bugs?

@kosec321 well I just found it on youtube a few months back, so you could try searching here or googling it.
