  • Nostalgia... So pleasant.

  • these are the greta movies before all this shit today <3

  • wish they brought these kind of movies back

  • One of my fondest childhood memories is watching this song in my grandparent's old home. Oh, how I miss my grandfather to this day...

  • Brings back fond memories

  • This must be one of the cringiest songs ever!

  • Why doesn't the flounder have both eyes on the same side of his head?

  • This reminds me of the Sword in the Stone, when Merlin & Wart are fish swimming around & Merlin's singing a song.

  • what ever happened to them kids ?

  • This should be at West End by now. It'd be awesome to see all the special effects live

  • 4 doesn't like... how is it possible ??

  • Classic Movie

    RIP David Tomlinson

  • I think this is truly one of my favorite Disney songs, though I hardly ever think of it when I'm asked. I find myself singing it at random during the day. So good!

  • I know it is a song about the sea but i wonder if it is a love song as well.

  • the vocabulary in this movie is too hard for young kids

  • @gigglesmini Kids nowadays, maybe. :/

We don't educate our children enough; we treat them like they're stupid, and that's exactly what they end up becoming.

  • @gigglesmini If it is at first, they'll be able to enjoy it more and more as their vocabulary grows.

  • @gigglesmini but isn't that how kids broaden their vocabulary? you hear a word you don't know and find out what it means.

  • Comment removed

  • the vocabulary in this movie is too vast for young kids

  • HANDS UP IF YOU LOVE THAT FRICKIN' DRUM SOLO! XD

  • omg my fav movie i watched over and over when i was a child >.<

  • Holy shit that was long....

  • One of the most magical Disney movie moments.

  • I love this early episode of murder she wrote, think its from the beauty briny sea-son 2

  • I remember this on an old Disney sing-along VHS! Always one of my favorites Disney songs

  • have a banana!

  • 4 People Can't do the Filigree, Apogee, Pedigree, Perigee spell!

  • This scene is amazing! The live-action requires 4 actors for the dancing. The actor/actress you see and 2 other fly-people who run the vertical "fly" system that cause them to gracefully "defy" gravity. The part where the little boy wants to join in, also requires him to be hooked to the fly system as well, with his own operator. And then you have to match the animation! And of coarse you have to HAVE animation, to match!

  • @Newtwist75 What about Aristocats, Robin Hood and Winnie the Pooh. Surely you must deem these as classics too?

  • how come none of them drowned?

  • @Jonnyx2376 Cause it's Disney!

  • 2:09 - lobster looks like a rapist :|

  • Just watched this video two weeks ago in music class. Still a good movie.

  • Ahahaaa, keep on clicking 0:01 .. "Bob..bobbi..bob..bob..." :D

  • I loved this song as a child because my name is Bryony and it sounded as if they were singing about me <3

  • Who in the world dislikes this video?! wtf

  • How Pleasent! - 0:00

  • BOBBING ALONG, BOBBING ALONG, ON THE BEAUTIFUL BRINYYYY SEA!

wow old school disney gets me so happy ( :

  • TOP SONG FOR KIDS MOSTLEY FOR ADULTS HEHEHEHE LOL

  • great movie : )

  • great movie

  • I didn't know he was such a good singer! When I watched Mary Poppins before I ever saw this film for the first time, I thought David Tomlinson was just an evil bastard that hated his kids xD

  • @richardmuthwill And cars - his character in The Love Bug poured coffee liqueur into Herbie's tank! But he is ever so amazing in this, as are the whole cast

  • LOVE this song! Always sang along with it on one of my sing-along videos, but finally rented the movie through Netflix a few months back and adored that, too.

  • This film brings back so many memories i always watched it as a little kid :) that much my mom had to hide it from me cause i didnt stop watching it lmao :) thanks for this vid upload <3

  • On the first 8 seconds when he starts to sing, her smile is so fake... She's like "Ohhhh god not again... -___-" in her head.

  • Loved this movie as a child. until yesterday I hadn't seen this movie since I was six. Never knew WW 2 was a part of it :P

  • One of my top three fave movies ever! :D I Love this!

  • God bless the sherman brothers for their wonderful songs :)

i wish walt had lived to see this film...

  • It´s a really great movie^^

  • Live actors are filmed on a stage while wearing a harness which connects to a fly(lift system) which is counter weighted. The dance is actually performed by 4 people. The two actors seen here and two other fly operators that run them up and down and horizontally to get that fantastic effect of weightlessness! The skirt is taped to her hose with double side carpet tape. The live action is layered on top of animation-post production.

  • those electric eels make me lol

  • and it looks like the dad from Mary Poppins found his way into this film after he stopped being so bossy

  • Mrs. Pots?

  • how do they breathe underwater?

  • its disney thats how :)

  • I love this movie. It was my favorite as a kid. It's still my favorite disney movie. <3

Whenever I see this scene now I'm puzzled as to how they got her skirt to stay down while she was doing all those flips. o3o

  • @ 2:41, She lost a Shoe.

  • Does anybody remember an animated movie in which a mother is telling her sick son a story, or something involving a real live child being sick, then cutting into animation?

  • All I got is Rock -A-Doddle and Balto.....

  • I love it when the boy lobster and girl lobster and the boy and the girl eletric eels and things are dancing I think that is so cute!

  • That would be Balto.

  • Rock-a-Doodle?

  • i love this movie

  • Just watched this earlier today on TMC.

This song was originally for Marry Poppins.

  • Sorry meant TCM(Turner Classic Movies).

  • Gets stuck in the head real bad like.

  • love it xx

  • This underwater musical number grows on you. It's absolutely adorable, and I've always thought the lovely Miss Angela Lansbury was her most beautiful in this movie. Does anyone else agree on what a truly pretty lady she is?

  • Absolutely!!! She is pretty!!! And she can act, dance, and Sing!!! Boy, they don't make actresses like they use to!!

  • Yes, she was gorgeous in this!!!

  • This was one of my favorite movies as a child!!! I still love it, but I only have it on VHS. :(

Thanks for putting it up! :D

  • Oh i know. and i dont even have a VHS player.

But an absolutely magical movie for kids

  • @sadbrwneyes989 they actually have made it on dvd now just got too

  • i forget, does angela lansbury end up with that guy in the end?

  • Yes, she does.

  • What I hate is that now they have the 3D opening to all the movies showing cinderella's castle. couldn't we just stick to the blue screen and watch the arch go over the castle and play the music I remember as a child?

  • nicee.. looks good to me lol

  • that was goog lu adaugo lv

    xxxxxxxx

  • i love this movie and my name is briny but i spell it diffrent bryonie (L)

  • The real classics!

  • I still can't figure out how they managed to produce all the effects in this film given special effects technology at the time.

  • luve dis fil it gr8

    xxxorange hawkxxx

  • I remember my mom taking me and my sister to see this at the drive-in, dressed in our pajamas in the "way back" of our station wagon.

  • Why can't they still make Disney movies like this? Imaginative, pure, heartwarming family entertainment that actually can bring back memories!

    What a wonderful film.

  • Well, Enchanted was a live-action Disney film with animation. That was made in late2007.

  • True! I'll admit I was excited to see Enchanted advertised, but I never got around to seeing it.

    Thanks for the reminder, haha!

  • @watcherfilmsinc

I guess because it's an age that has passed.

  • @watcherfilmsinc the new films are very good, heartwarming family entertainment, but also more thrilling than this very slow movie. A lot of youngsters thinks that this movie is boring and i must say that I like the new Disneys more than some of the old ones :) (my oppinion)

  • @StreetSoccerDK I disagree. Bedknobs and Broomsticks, while not the best example of great Disney is not slow. It has plot. In today's world where a kid has access to every thing they could want at any time (via Youtube, Video on demand, dvds) they have little patience. Wall-E was a fantastic movie and it is just as, if not slower then the older Disney Movies. You don't get the same quality now as you used to because they only care about star power (EX Hannah Montana, Jonas, etc) and not plot.

  • @StreetSoccerDK I disagree as well, while there are some good new disney movies, this is one of the best examples of classic disney :)

  • I agree.

Disney films today just don't have the same music that they did back then. Even all the way up to the 90's, there was still music that was written specifically for a film. But now there isn't any :/

  • @watcherfilmsinc Because, Disney has lost its magic and focus!

  • @Snookiebutt In my opinion this movie is the last good true traditional Disney movie..after this the Disney movies were not even worthy of the Disney name.

  • @Newtwist75 i disagree... what about beauty and the beast? the lion king ? the little mermaid? id say they are true disney classics and disney himself would be proud

  • @psychoticpurple what about Tangled!

  • @watcherfilmsinc Because Anne Sweeney said that the main goal of the programming on Disney Channel was not to entertain, but to make money! Pathetic really!

  • @watcherfilmsinc I shall bring movies like this back when I one day work for Disney.

  • @arod12234 haha, if you do, bring back Pete's Dragon, too! :D

  • @xXSunnyKimXx I love that movie and will try my best to bring it back as well.

  • @watcherfilmsinc A studio once peopled with artists and architects is now one of accountants and attorneys. But the good stuff is still saved for us to enjoy.

  • haha omg this is awesome when your stonned :)

  • omg i remember watching this in grade 2

  • what a cool dance ( 3.02 minute )

  • Wonderful movie and music and the animation...excellent, bring the old Disney back!!

  • I used to watch these when I was little, and I loved them and still do now..

It's a shame all the children's films and the like are a load of 3d animated shite.. when I have kids of my own they are going to be brought up on the disney classics, not the modern day drivel.

  • The alliteration tickles my fancy :D

  • Today this may look a little cheesy, but imagine these special effects for 1971.

  • oh, look a Poppy. There are lots, or there were, lots of poppies, as I recall in the fileds on the way to Either Westerham or more I remember, by Chartwell, Sir Whinnies' house!

Winston drank in that pub, didn't he.

  • aw, a sax.

  • Hmas, I think you shouldall line up and protest. And you team Isreal, s..ooo don't shoot!

  • so let's stop fighting shall we and all get along ? Whta what'dyo say kids ?

  • aw ;)

Now that I can do !!!!

  • Salamnca. Inclusion, look it i..oh, Spain 1994

  • Hello team holy lands for everyone !

A big wavefrom me to you ;):)

  • I lerant this song

  • I remember so well going to the cinema... now how's that becuase i never went did i ?

Well, anyway, I remember being enthralled by the twis...ooo twisty knob haha!

  • This song was originally going to be used in Mary Poppins. Glad it managed to surface though. The Sherman Brothers are genius.

  • You sure it was going to be used in Mary Poppins? It doesn't fit that movie as well as this one. Putting it here is just great!

  • I don't know where it would've fitted because nobody goes to the sea in that film. There may have been a sea sequence planned, or the lyrics may have been different, but I know it was going to be used in Mary Poppins. All the songs from both films were written by the Sherman brothers.

  • Ok, thanks for the info. This song really fits this movie and not "Mary Poppins". The Sherman brothers really composed great songs for the two movies.

I know that "Mary Poppins" is real popular and it's great, but I still prefer "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" to this. Nothing in the earlier film can match th's film's animated football match or the classic battle vs. the Nazis at the end.

  • And this particular scene is great too. :)

  • A rather belated response to this but it is true. In an early version of Mary Poppins there was a sequence known as the Magic Compass consisting of four songs and Beautiful Briny Sea was one of them. It was dropped in preproduction and the Shermans decided to use Beautiful Briny in this film.

  • i love this part of the movie!

  • this movie is awesome. I love this song too. it's fun to sing too

  • If you didnt like the song or sequence, then why did you search for it on youtube? haha u complete and utter tard

  • Forget High School Musical, Bedknobs and BroomSticks is the bomb! :P

I have to admit, this is a lot better than high school musical.

  • these fish scared me to death as a kid! XD

i love watching all the classical musicals again, it's never as good with new stuff as it was back then!

  • best movie in history!!!!!

  • Damnn, i never realised how fake this looks until now lol.

  • I for one enjoy the old-fashioned special effects movies made in the days before CGI.

  • This reminds me of SpongeBob Squarepants. The idea of the Underwater being animation and the serfas is all real-life things.

  • I never noticed the similarity until now!

Thanks for pointing that out =D

  • deffinitaly one of my favorite movies everrr

  • I'm 21 and I still adore this film.

  • My favorite character of this movie is the Lion.

  • that's funny, mine are the dancing lobsters, lol

  • But they only made a brief apperance.

  • ya, but they are still cool.

  • lol although they're not my fav characters, i looove the dancing electric eels XD

  • i love love love this and im 12 the age of not beliving lol but i still belive rolf!!!!!

  • im 14 and this was one of my favorite movies as a kid i watched it so much the vhs skips parts now.

  • its sad that none of todays young children have seen this movie, i still watch it to this day its a classic

  • I am 15, and I still watch this. I have been watching this movie since I was a baby

  • I like both Mary Poppins and this.

  • I wonder how old Angela Lansbury was in this movie. She's doing pretty good on those flips with the wires, lol :P

  • I Like this better than marry poppins

  • I Like better than Marry Poppins

  • most awesome movie EVER !!!!

  • I love Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and it just shows the even though the special effects were still confincing and believable, and Angela partners with David is great they worked great together.

  • Interesting to note this one of the first movies to have an unmarried man and woman in bed together--LOL! Bobbing along indeed!

  • hey inbalcat, will you download the whole movie please!

  • I would love to dance in the ocean like that : )

  • "Balanço bom, balanço bom, o balanço que um dia eu conheci..."

  • This film is memorable! I still remember this song translated to Portuguese.

  • I ♥ this Disney Movie. I just despise how underrated it is. I wish this was just as overrated as Mary Poppins.
