Furthermore, I am a civilian, not a soldier. We have a military based on recruiting, not conscription (a paid "volunteer" army). If I thought our wars were morally justified, I would enlist. So to address your hypothetical case, if another country took over the USA, and brought something bad to light, which had been done by the military, I would not be directly responsible, but in a sense, I would bear the collective responsibility of my society for what had transpired.
And you're absolutely right, the enemies you fight in war could easily have been your friends under different circumstances. That's a tragedy. However, that does not absolve you of personal responsibility for your actions, and you nonetheless have to decide what is right and what is wrong, albeit from a subjective moral perspective, and stand up for what you believe. Our soldiers deserve the utmost courtesy, but some of their actions overseas may not deserve respect.

Do you consider them all heroes, simply because they wore a uniform? Furthermore, I am a civilian, not a soldier. We have a military based on recruiting, not conscription (a paid "volunteer" army). If I thought our wars were morally justified, I would enlist. So to address your hypothetical case, if another country took over the USA, and brought something bad to light, which had been done by the military, I would not be directly responsible, but in a sense, I would bear the collective responsibility of my society for what had transpired.

@Soetman if you do some research, a bullet fired up into the air will not fall down at a lethal velocity. the only way is if they were firing around a 45 degree angle. So actually you are the fucking retarded motherfucking douchebag bitch.
