@ChameleonsFan would this not be some form of industrial to you? i mean yeah its not cabaret voltaire or throbbing gristle...but i think it has some strong industrial elements...i mean there is no discernible melody and its basically constructed with distorted drum beats with a smattering of synthlines here and there.

@skrapyard444 I think Skinny Puppy were cleary influenced by early industrial bands. Fans of oldschool industrial music tend to classify SP either as dance music or gothic. A bit rude but not completely out of place. But I have to admit to have learned from watching "The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye" that the godfather of industrial himself, Genesis, classifies even NIN as industrial (well, at least he didn't say "oldschool"). I think NIN started out with synthpop and turned into a rock band.

@ChameleonsFan goth? no i dont hear it...at least not in this song...maybe a few gothic influences on Remission, but to me this is electro-industrial...i think like many genres there are variations in industrial music...i think the only pure forms of any type of music are the first ones to do it and then whatever bands come later add in other influences..but yeah i dont think SP would be "old-school" industrial...but i think they are industrial (in some aspects) none the less

@skrapyard444 Totally industrial, always have been, I watched them get their start in Vancouvertown in the 80s and have seen them play here about 4 times.

I've turned so many people on to them, but my new favourite it Niyaz. Totally different, different heaviness, it feels like love. I'm hooked and now I'm turning people on to this stuff.
